Call it by its name: Rwanda’s development story is a farce

Call it by its name: Rwanda’s development story is a farce

with all due respect opinions must be answered with a counter argument not individual insult which can easily interpreted by most neutrals that what has been put for digestion is true and instead of someone to argue against wonders around the bush!!!!

Opinions of a genocide denier cannot be countered because they are just that. Opinion. They should put facts and figures of why they believe Rwanda's development is a farce then we can counter with our own facts and figures. Sio mtu kuamka na kuandika tu bila supporting facts halafu eti na yeye ni expert. Spare me the ----.

Just take a few minutes to browse for data about Rwanda, and mostly compare with other East African countries, you will see Rwandans are fairing well on issues such as life expectancy, literacy, higher % of the population have access to drinking water source, access to sanitation facility, lower Maternal mortality rate, higher health expenditures of the GDP, higher hospital bed density per 1,000, higher GDP - real growth rate, low Inflation rate, low Public debt % of GDP and so on.

So I fail to understand what other indicators do we need to measure with. Rwandans beats the rest of us even in general happiness. These rankings are done by global reputable bodies.

Elewa kuwa hakuna mtu anapinga statistics kuhusu Rwanda, if anything usishangae Rwanda ndio wanaopinga statistics. Mfano the last censor before genocide iliyofanywa na mashirika ya UN.
What this article and others you mention do is to put these statistics into context. That's all. Hawapingi percentages or figures/numbers at all. For example, Rwanda is the happiest nation in Africa. Hatupingi huo utafiti, but je, unajua how Rwanda fares in all competent/independent freedom of speech indices? Asking Rwandese anything that might endanger their lives is bound to give you false results. For example if you ask North Koreans if they are happy or not in North Korea, don't you think they'll be 100% happy? While one wouldn't argue with the statistics or figures on that, he would surely bring North Korea's dictatorship government as a factor in that result.

I do agree with you, of-course dissidence oppression can lead to false positive, but when you're told about a higher happiness index of a country, the first thing to observe would be those other related statistics that constitute to the happiness. You'd want to evaluate how that country fares in other basic stuffs like Human development index (HDI), security, inflation etc. Meaning, I won't buy notion that North Koreans are happy when everything about them seems to be on a downward route.

Even Mo Ibrahim 2015 index inakubaliana Rwanda is the best governed country in EA and 11th overall in the continent na isingekuwa human right category(mostly majungu) Rwanda ingekuwa top 3 in the continent, and seems hata unachoandika mwenyewe uelewi WTF with North Korea hapa?...tabu sana interahamwe nyie

Well which other "happy" country whose citizens run to other countries as illegal migrants?

Well which other "happy" country whose citizens run to other countries as illegal migrants?

Yeah!! that's a million dollar question, and makes it harder to understand that country. Anyway only Rwandans themselves can answer that, surely if there are normal peaceful citizens running away into other countries as illegal immigrants, then something isn't clear somewhere.

Please back up your allegation with a link to any baseless critical post of mine which simply hangs in the air as you claim. Just one is enough.

not at all and never accept to be trapped by Interahamwes naked lies! hao anaowaita illegal immigrants ni wachunga ng'ombe wanaotafuta malisho ya mifugo yao! kwanza watanzania ndio wakulaumiwa, they are crying fouls while they can't easily identify a Tanzanian or non-Tanzanian within their borders, they are still struggling to issue IDs for their citizens, their security officers simply listen to your Swahili accent and decide whether you are a Tanzanian or a foreigner, can you imagine? only few people got IDs in Tanzania... sasa wewe hebu fikiria na kiswahili changu hiki choooooote niache kwenda kuchunga ng'ombe zangu upande wa Tanzania wakati najuwa haitakuwa rahisi kwa polisi kunitambuwa? sasa hawa Interahamwe walipofika ndio wakaanza kuwalaghai ooh ukiona tu pua ndefu au mtu mrefu tu kidogo basi juwa huyo ni mhamiaji haramu... hapa juzi tulijikuta tunapokea hadi watanzania kisa eti pua ndefu/mrefu! wakati wanawaacha Interahamwe zikieneza sumu tu...

Umesema u dont deny the statistics; that nobody does.....Rwanda is growing in many aspects. U are not disputing any of that, right? That is according to your comment above.

So, I am wondering, what exactly is your issue with Rwanda?
If u ask me, my only problem with the Rwandese authorities is their intolerance to to dissent. I find their policy of jailing and alleged involvement murdering those with opposing opinions pretty repugnant. The same is the case in Ethiopia.
I detest the suppression of such freedoms.

But truth be told, there are apparent growth in every aspects of these countries' economies.
But every country has its challenges and shortcomings, right?

Reading your comment one would think that i usually just rant about kagame or Rwanda for mere reason that they exist! like a crazy person. That's why i challenged you to bring any post of mine which does not have any basis. As far as i know all my posts have an angle which is clearly seen by everyone.

True. I agree with you on that. You have a genocide revisionist "angle" to all your posts which is clearly seen by everyone. Tatizo ni kwamba 1994 will never happen again. NEVER.

1. BBC and Victoire Ingabire seem to agree with me. So i don't have a problem if you don't.
2. Me and you have different versions of 1994. Kagame and RPF already beat you to that, they repeated what they did in 1994 in 1995 in Kibeho, repeated it again in DRC numerous times, and now allegedly they are planning another one in Burundi....
