Kazi yangu nimekamilisha na sasa nashukuru natambulika kama "authority," katika historia ya TANU na uhuru wa Tanganyika.

Maktaba yangu imetajwa na waandishi wa Wasifu wa Julius Nyerere kuwa ni kati ya maktaba tatu (ya Salim Ahmed Salim, Hashim Mbita na yangu) bora zilizo na taarifa za Mwalimu Nyerere.

Siku hizi kazi yangu ni kujibu maswali kama hivi hapa baada ya watu kunisoma.
 
Kwenye uandishi wa aina yoyote pale mwandishi anapokua na upendeleo kwasababu yeye ni mnufaika wa habari husika basi habari hiyo yafaa kupuuzwa na wanawema wote wenye msimamo tofauti pamoja na mawazo mbadala na ya mwandishi husika!

Si rahisi kunipuuza na sababu ni kuwa hajapata mwandishi yeyote yule ndani na nje ya Tanzania kuandika kitabu cha historia ya Tanganyika kwa namna yangu.

Kitabu cha Abdul Sykes kimefanyiwa review na mabingwa wa historia ya Afrika kama John Iliffe, Jonathan Glassman na James Brennan na hizi review zimechapwa kwenye Cambridge Journal of African History.

Nadhani sasa umeelewa uzito wa kazi hii.

Huna nia njema na taifa la Watanzania wewe babu. Hata Waislamu wenzako kwa kiasi kikubwa wamekupa mgongo humu jukwaani hawana time na narratives zako zilizopitwa na wakati. Tupo 2020 na siyo 1950.
