"Here is the mess," the warder said when he shoved Michael Adams* into an overcrowded cell in Allandale Prison, near South Africa's Cape Town, 10 years ago. That first night, Adams was raped by two men, and he was repeatedly assaulted during much of his time behind bars.

"Two gangsters came over to me and made me stand naked in front of the gang," he said recently, now out of prison and working at a hospital. "They did things to me."

Ni mambo ambayo hata kwetu yapo lakini hayazungumziki! Ni kitu cha kawaida kukuta baadhi ya wafungwa wakiitana kwa majina ya kike,kuna wale 'wanaoliwa' kwa tamaa na wale wanaolazimishwa kwa udhaifu wao!

Kama ni hivyo kuna ulazima wa kuwapelekea condoms kwenye jela zote ili walane kwa mpira , maana hii kitu ipo na watu wanaambukizwa ngoma kila siku

So sad, jela si mahali pa kwenda wala kupelekwa. hebu fikiri kwa wale wanaosingiziwa au wanaobambikiwa kesi na kufungwa bila hatia yoyote, ni jinsi gani wanavyo teseka na kuumia ndani ya mioyoyao. halafu wewe ndio umesababisha hayo.
sijawahi kulala selo wala magereza lakini sikuzote huwa naona hayo maeno si yakwenda wala kumpeleka mtu.
