Minister for Youth and Children Affairs Balaam Barugahara has ordered landlords at Kabale Central Market to immediately vacate the premises and allow tenants to take ownership.
Barugahara issued the directive while visiting the market as part of his nationwide anti-corruption campaign.
The minister did not provide further details on how the transfer of ownership would be implemented or the arrangements for affected landlords.
