...............Uwingi wa viwanja vya ndege ni jambo jema, lakini tumalize miradi ilyooanza kwanza. kama vile ule wa MBEYA; ambao ungeinua biashara, kilimo na uwekezaji nyanda za juu kusini.
 
Heshima sana mkuu,

Kwa kweli umeeleza kile ambacho kila serikali inayokuja madarakani ingejaribu kuendeleza. Lakini kila ka-rais kanakokuja madarakani utfikiri hakuna mipango iliyowahi kuandaliwa na watawala waliopita!!!

Kikwete hebu fuata maelezo haya ili ufanye mambo yanayoeleweka .....mbona unakimbilia bagamoyo??? kuna nini huko???

Watuletee umeme kwanza maana hiyo ndio engine ya kila kitu,hivyo viwanja vya ndege kwa sasa tulivyonavyo vinatosha labda wavipige lami vile vya mikoani lakini DIA inazidi mahitaji yetu kwa sasa,tunaomba barabara na umeme wa kuaminika mikoa yote na hivyo vituo vya mikutano ya kimataifa sioni kwa nini serikali inajiingiza huko,hayo mambo watu binafsi wanaweza kujenga kwa pesa zao kama mahotel tuu.
 
Rais wa kwanza wa nchi ya Ivory Coast Marehemu Felix Houphouet Boigny aliufanya mji aliozaliwa wa Yamoussoukro kuwa mji mkuu wa ivory Coast badala ya Abidjani.Zoezi la kuufanya mji wa Yamoussoukro kuwa mji mkuu wa Ivory Coast liliambata na matumizi makubwa ya fedha za nchi kuelekezwa Yamoussoukro kwaajili ya ujenzi wa miundombinu na maofisi ya wizara mbali mbali ambayo tayari ilikuwepo Abidjani.Uwanja wa ndege,mabarabara makubwa,mahospital na lile kanisa kubwa [ Basilica of our lady of peace of Yomoussokro] lilijengwa kwa gharama ya U$ 300 million peke yake.

Rais Jakaya M Kikwete tangu alipochaguliwa kuingia madarakani mwaka 2005 kumekuwa na juhudi kubwa sana za kuuendeleza Mji Bagamoyo kwa kutumia kodi za wananchi au kutumia mikopo au misaada.Kuna mpango wa kujenga uwanja wa ndege wa kimataifa,kuna mpango wa kujenga bandari sijui kwanini tusijenge bandari kubwa Tanga au Lindi,kumekuwa na juhudi za chini chini za kujenga kituo cha mikutano cha kimataifa badala ya Arusha,Kumekuwa na juhudi za kujenga kijiji cha michezo badala ya ule mpango wa kukijenga sambamba na uwanja wa taifa Dar es salaam,ujenzi wa barabara nne kutokea Chalinze hadi Segera wakati barabara ipo tena tusisahau kuna sehemu nyingi Tanzania hazijawahi kuona barabara ya lami,ujenzi wa barabara msata hadi Bagamoyo.

Baba wa taifa Julius alikuwa Rais wa JMT kwa miaka 24 lakini hakuwahi kufikiria kuijenga Musoma / Butihama kwa kutumia rasilimali chache za nchi kama anavyofanya Muungwana katika kipindi kisichozidi miaka 4 tu.Najaribu kutafakari tukimpa tena miaka 5 mingine Bagamoyo itakuwaje ?.

mimi naishi tegeta,,,,kwenda posta au kariakoo asubuhi ni masaa mawili ya foleni,tunaaamka saa kumi ili kufika kazini saa moja,sasa huko bagamoyo wakiweka airport na bandari na takataka zingine,,,,sijui itakuwaje,sipati picha,wazo linaweza kuwa zuri au sio zuri,nasubiri nione,,,,
 
idea aliyokuwa nayo mkapa awamu ya tatu ilikuwa kuachana na upanuzi wa uwanja wa ndege wa dar....na kuubakisha kuhudumia jeshi..na safari za ndani...kutoka pale uwanja wa ndege dar ingejengwa barabara ya kuunganisha na kilwa road kwenda MKURANGA ...ambapo ndipo uwanja mpya wa ndege wa safari za kimataifa ungejengwa na tayari eneo lipo na limepimwa..na mwandosya anajuwa kwani alipokuwa pale wizarani tayari walikuwa wamefikia kutenga pesa za kuwekea uzio na kufanya upembuzi yakinifu....sasa nashangaa sana kama mpango wa uwanja wa kuachana na uwanja wa dar na kuhamishia safari za kimataifa mkuranga unaachwa bila maelezo ya kutosha.....

kama taifa lazima tuwe na vipaumbele ...sasa kama kila mtu akiwa rais anakuja na vipaumbele vipya hatutafika mahali....

kwa maneno mengine wale watu wa kipawa wasipewe fidia na hiyo hela itumike kuendeleza mukuranga, adam malima upo wapi? dr mwinyi si alikuwa mbunge wa huko? kulikoni?
 
Mkakati huo haukuanzia tu Bagamoyo, bali hata katika njia inayoelekea kwake Mikocheni ukitokea upande wa Old Bgamoyo road na hata kwa kule barabara ya New Old Bagamoyo road.

Naona na sasa wamekumbuka kuitenmgeneza ile inayoingia kwa rais mzee Ruksa kutokea upande wa Old Bagamoyo na ile ya Mikocheni maarufu kama Rose Garden.
 
Jamani Kikwete ni mbovu kwa mengi, lakini Bagamoyo kuilinganisha na Yamousoukrou is overstretching it.

Kuhusu uwanja wa Ndege mimi sioni tatizo kama uwanja wa ndege utawekwa strategically between the northern tip of Dar and Bagamoyo, where it could serve both the North Dar crowd- Mbezi and its suburbs is developing into a city within a city and will probably make ample use of this airport-. Kitu muhimu ni kuuendesha uwanja huu with business efficiency ili ujilipie katika miaka michache.

Kwa hiyo si kila kitu kinachofanywa na Kikwete ni cha kubezwa kwa kutumia mifano ambayo hailingani. Yamoussoukrou is something else, probably up there with Gbadolite, but not Bagamoyo.
Acha kuwa mvivu wa kufikiria Dar haihitaji Airport mbili iliyopo inaweza kutanuliwa na ku-serve the less than 3 mio. people in Dar! Huu ni umimi na ukabila! Tatizo lenu ukabila huwapo kwa Wachagga tu humu ndani lakini hamuoni wanayofanya watu wengine! Mimi kama specialist in project Management naweza kusema hiyo project imekaa kiubinafsi bila hata kuangalia feasibility study! Dar is too small to have two airports msijifananishe na New York au Tokyo au Shangai na miji mimgine yenye watu mpaka million 20! JNIA inaweza kupewa hata terminal nne ku-accomodate watu wengi zaidi!

Mwaka 2009 nilianza kuhisi Rais J Kikwete alikuwa na mkakati wa kupeleka maendeleo BAGAMOYO bila kujali mapato ya nchi yanahitajika kugawanywa kila kona ya Tanzania katika hali ya usawa na kuzingatia umuhimu wa miradi husika.

Bajeti ya wizara ya ujenzi imetenga jumla ya tsh 4.4 bilioni kwaajili ya kivuko cha kisasa kati ya Dar na Bagamoyo.Ujenzi wa maegesho wa usasfiri wa majini umetengewa tsh 215 milioni.Ujenzi wa vituo vya kusubiria kivuko 600 milioni.Ujenzi wa barabara kati ya Bagamoyo Msata 10 bilioni.Ujenzi wa barabara Bagamoyo Saadani 444.14 milioni.

Ukiichambua bajeti ya wizara ya ujenzi utabaini pamoja na waziri Dr Magufuli kujitahidi sana lakini kazidi kuipendelea Bagamoyo ya Kikwete utafikiri Tanzania ni Bagamoyo na Bagamoyo ni Tanzania.

Tukiachana na huu upendeleo wa wazi wa Magufuli.Bado lipo suala la Gasi ya Mtwara itatakiwa ipelekwe mpaka Bagamoyo ambako kitajengwa kiwanda cha gesi kama hiyo haitoshi upo mpango ujenzi wa viwanda EPZ na uwanja wa ndege wa kimataifa.Kabla hajakabidhi ikulu ya magogoni atakuwa anamalizia ujenzi wa reli Dar - Bagamoyo.


Mpango wa ujenzi wa bandari kubwa kuliko zote Afrika mashariki na kati umeshatiwa saini na wachina ujenzi wake utaanza wakati wowote kuanzia sasa.Najiuliza kwanini bandari haikupelekwa Tanga au Mtwara sipati jibu.

Mkuu ilboru1995 ukitumia kigezo cha ukongwe hata ujiji Kigoma ni mji mkongwe.Kinachogomba hapa ni kurundika maendeleo makubwa sehemu moja na kuziacha nyingine hoi bin taabani.Mwl Nyerere wakati wa utawala wake alijaribu kupeleka maendeleo sehemu mbali mbali za nchi hakupenda kupendelea sehemu aliyozaliwa "Butiama".

Tanzania to have East Africa's biggest steel mill in Bagamoyo

The construction of the Kamal steel mill will start soon in Bagamoyo, Coast Region.

Upon its completion, it will be the biggest steel factory in East Africa.

Dar es Salaam. Kamal Group of Companies has said it will soon start construction of a steel producing mill, tipped to be the biggest in the entire East African region.The company's chairman, Gagan Gupta, told reporters in Dar es Salaam yesterday that the project will cost $222 million (about Sh311 billion). The mill will have production capacity of 700,000 tonnes of steel per year.

"Containers full of equipment and heavy machines worth about $3.2 million have already arrived at the Dar es Salaam port and we expect construction to start soon", he said.Architects have already finished work on the structural designs paving way for the laying of the foundation stone, according to Mr Gupta.

"Our plans is to make Tanzania and the East African countries spend less by buying from us and save money that could have been spent to buy same materials from some other countries, " he said.

"A team of engineers is already in Dar es Salaam to inspect the site and take over the remaining job of installing machines", he said.

Kamal Group Limited is owned by investors from India who have vast experience in the manufacturing and agriculture sectors. The company is also developing an Economic Processing Zone (EPZ) in Bagamoyo, Coast Region.

"So far, 24 plots in the EPZ have been booked by foreign investors from India and the United Arab Emirates from the land which is more than 300 acres", he said.

He said that the project would offer thousands of direct jobs to Tanzanians when completed."We are encouraged by the Tanzanian government's good policy towards investors and we hope we can play a very key role to promote the economy and the people of this great country", he said.
 
With $11bn Bagamoyo port, Tanzania prepares to take on EA hub Mombasa

Kenya's status as the region's logistics hub has again come under threat after Tanzania signed a deal with China to set up the bloc's largest port and expand Dar es Salaam's main airport.

The $11 billion Bagomoyo port will be bigger than the Dar es Salaam and Mombasa ports, tilting the scales of regional trade in favour of Tanzania.

Bagamoyo will have the capacity to handle 20 million containers a year, compared with Mombasa's installed capacity of 600,000 and Dar es Salaam's 500,000.

The country has also secured $164.3 million from the Netherlands for the expansion of the Julius Nyerere International Airport in Dar es Salaam to ease pressing capacity constraints.

Tanzania also plans to construct a railway line linking its coast to the landlocked countries of Uganda, DR Congo, Rwanda and Burundi, which have hitherto used Mombasa-Malaba as the main transport corridor.

Meanwhile, Kenya's efforts to upgrade facilities at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, expand the Mombasa port as well as construct the Lamu port, continue to lag behind schedule. Last month, the government cancelled a tender for the construction of a Ksh1 billion ($12 million) temporary terminal at JKIA.

The Kenya Airports Authority is yet to kick off the construction of the planned Ksh55 billion ($647 million) airport facility amid continuing procurement controversy.

The status of Mombasa as EAC's hub has fluctuated wildly over the past few years, with delays in clearance of goods and glaring capacity challenges continuing to hurt regional trade through additional costs.

Geofrey Nkusi, a leading general merchandise importer and distributor in Kigali, knows this too well. He says he abandoned Mombasa three years ago and now ships his products through Dar es Salaam. He finds the route convenient, as there is only one border post at Rusumo.

"It takes me three days to deliver goods to Kigali through Tanzania. Mombasa port takes me seven days," he says.

The World Bank estimates that inefficiency at the Mombasa port adds about 50-80 per cent to the time required to move imports to landlocked countries.

For low-value bulk commodities, which constitute the highest proportion of cargo entering Mombasa, port costs account for over 15 per cent of the delivered market value.
