ROBIN VAN PERSIE and Andrey Arshavin conjured a late comeback win worthy of potential European champions as Arsenal stunned Barcelona. The Gunners' miracle double overturned an hour of Barca brilliance in this Champions League last-16 first-leg tie. David Villa had slipped a 26th minute opener to underline the Spaniards' nonchalant control.
But Van Persie's lethal left foot fired an extraordinary leveller on 78 minutes, punishing Victor Valdes' poor positioning from what the keeper thought would be a cross. And substitute Arshavin flashed a first-time winner five minutes later to peak one of Arsenal's greatest Euro fightbacks, given the quality of both the play and the opposition.
