1. Cristiano Ronaldo

Alifanyiwa Operation ya moyo akiwa mtoto..., Ronaldo had a ‘racing heart’ while in his teens, even while asleep. His mother Dolores Aveiro told the Telegraph that it was decided to operate on him.

"The people in charge at Sporting alerted me and I went to Portugal where I had to sign some papers and authorise him being treated in hospital. Before we knew exactly what he had I was worried because there was the possibility of him giving up playing football.”

She said they used a laser to cauterize the source of the problem. Luckily, the treatment was successful, and the rest is history.

2. Lionel Messi

Alikuwa na matatizo ya kukua...;

The wonder player signed on with FC Barcelona at the tender age of 13. However, his football career was abruptly halted after it was discovered that he suffered from a growth hormone deficiency.

In fact, the contract was signed on the condition that the club paid for Messi’s expensive medical treatments, which they did.

The football star required shots of the human growth hormone, which allowed him to attain a greater height as well as helping the development of other parts of his body.

When Messi was first diagnosed, he was only four feet, two inches tall. Now, he is five feet seven inches tall, the average for an Argentinian male in height, however, his skills are far from average.

3: Franck Ribery
French footballer Franck Ribery has been described by many as one of the best French players of his generation.

He suffered from a serious car accident when he was just two years old. He was rushed to hospital and required 100 stitches after the crash in his hometown of Boulogne-sur-Mer, France. It is reported that Ribery wasn't wearing a seatbelt, which sent him crashing through the vehicle's windshield.

4. Pelé (Edson Arantes do Nascimento)

Muafrica kijana mdogo aliyezaliwa katika umasikini..., against all odds wakati wa ubaguzi took the world by storm in 1958 mpaka leo ndio kijana mdogo kufunga kombe la dunia na hajawahi kushindwa mechi ya kombe la dunia akiwa anacheza..., alifanya haya kipindi kiatu / buti ikiwa ni jambo la kawaida

5: Mchawi wa Chenga - Garrincha
Born into desperate poverty in a backwater town, Garrincha was certified a cripple by one doctor as his left leg was six centimetres longer
than his right.
He drank too much, smoked at will and made the local bordello his first port of call wherever he went.

He played football the same way he lived his life, pleasing himself and disregarding team tactics or concerns. Perhaps the finest dribbler the world has ever seen, he regularly beat a man and then waited for him to recover position, simply to have the pleasure of beating him again. His style of play filled fans with joy

Young Stevie was playing football with his friends and the football had gone into a hedge. While trying to kick it out, Gerrard accidentally kicked a garden fork. The fork went through the shoes straight into his big toe.
The doctor who Gerrard consulted said that he probably needed to get his big toe amputated because of a risk of tetanus.
But the doctors at Liverpool FC decided against it and tried to heal it with a treatment.

Luckily, it worked and Gerrard could continue his development as a footballer and come through the ranks at Liverpool.
