Lena, I managed to update my srt 4950h. I went here: Sat Upload Center | Humax | Strong | Dreambox | Tv Channels | Sky Star 2 | Biss | Keys and downloaded the zip folder: SRT4950H_V3.20P_20150403.zip. I unzipped it into a .bin file and saved in a clean usb disk (clean in terms of no other files and not infected). I used the rear usb port on my stb and it recognized it at once.
And relax, you do not have a fake stb. I confirmed with the manufacturers that there are no fake 4950s in the market. I even authenticated mine with them.

Active transponder I'm receiving 10804V30000,& 10845V30000 S=90% Q=78% (both tps) while the tps hosting ANIMAL PLANET & CARTOON NETWORK are only stable at night (SRT 4950M,240PF & STARGOLDFUJI TWIN ) I will be glad if anyone can recommend a better lnb to stabilize weak tps@ hotbird I am in Taveta. Which are the receivable tps on 7E Europe beam 240cm pf. Very interested in greasing my elbows over the weekend. Also which lnb do you use and quality on the tps.

It's true there's an intermittent freeze of the video but only on SRT 4950 series,4922 quite fine.I'm quite sorry for wrong comment.
