According to my experience, 130cm offset dish should have better results as compared to 180cm prime focus dish. Offset dishes tend to outperform prime focus dishes. I tested my 180cm primefocus on d*g*t**k but some tps like 11617V/29999 was cracking. I reverted to 120cm offset and the said tp has been stable as illustrated from my previous post.
Did that and only 4 are FTA. So sad
Thats quite interesting.. from my location on the shores of lake Victoria , the prime focus that I had (180cm) worked very well, until it became slightly deformed.. I now have a 130cm that isnt working.. even with a Samson dual or the much overrated Inverto lnb.. Now considering getting a 240cm prime focus.
From the image below.. the people located in "upper" regions are luckier in nabbing this beam with smaller dishes.

What is the size of dish you are using and Q% of the strongest TP.
There you are my brother, long time man. Niko mzima kabisa. Yes, I have a 4922 which I'm ditching as I didn't like the sensitivity of its tuner. On the tp 11555 H 30000 hosting IDx and the 'Discoveries' for instance, it'd give signal quality of at most 58% whereas my satmeter, 6918P gave 88% on the same tp. No problem with 58%, its watchable but at the slightest sign of adverse weather and in the evenings, it'd promptly drop to 53-54% and become unwatchable.
Now, on 4950H, the said tp is checking in at a consistent 81% (which compares very well with the satfinder's) and is watchable throughout. My beef however is with the tp 11617 v 30000 hosting History channel, Nat Geo, Nat Geo Wild as well as a host of radio stations. the tp is consistent at 82% throughout but a blindscan/manual scan on that tp yields nothing. That's what has me flabbergasted.
I'm using a 240cm pf dish coupled to Stargold Fuji SG900 single on this set-up. Somebody help. Are other 4950 users facing the same scenario on this specific tp?
An update: In the last few minutes I've updated to v3.16p software, done a factory reset and blind-scanned E7A. The same scenario persists. At signal level of 82%, the 4950H does not seem to lock on to this tp (11617 v 30000). Anyone with a solution to this?
