Tanzania Pay TV Azam table $600,000 for Ugandan League
The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (Fufa) has acknowledged receiving an offer from Tanzania based Pay TV Azam to have broadcasting rights for the Premier League.

Ahmed Hussein, the FA spokesman told MTNFootball.com that discussions are now on-going. "FUFA has received an offer from Azam Pay TV Limited for the commercial properties owned by the Federation and clubs," said Hussein.

However, although Hussein refused to disclose the amount involved, an insider in Azam TV told MTNFootball.com that the offer is $600,000 each year. The Tanzanian company also wants to have broadcasting rights for the Kakungulu Knock out Cup.
Although South African base Supersport currently have the right to broadcast the Uganda Premier Leagues (UPL), they have not had any matches on Tv this season nor paid the 16 clubs the percentage they are meant to get.

"I think it is high time we started thinking of another sponsor to come in because clubs are struggling to pay their players. Let us listen to the different offers and decide as clubs," said SC Vipers Chairman Tadius Kitandwe.


 
Last week I travelled to Kampala to attend a schoolmate's wedding and I took the chance to shop around for some cheap satellite gear. Among the few items I managed to buy was this HD combo satellite and terrestrial receiver that is so small you wonder where all the technology is hidden. It measures about 200mm in width and is much smaller than a "GoNowhere" decoder from BB.

It has 2 tuners inside: one DVB-S2 HD satellite tuner and the DVB-T2 HD terrestrial tuner. In other words it can receive both local digital terrestrial channels using a simple TV aerial and all satellite channels using a satellite dish. The terrestrial tuner is so sensitive that you need only little signal to lock on all the T2 channels available in your area.

The satellite tuner is equally sensitive but what I treasure most is its BISS key edit feature which has easily enabled me to watch IRIB VARZESH, IRIB TV3 and PTV Sports for EPL matches. It also has key edit features for other encryptions. The receiver is also PVR capable and it can play virtually any AV & photo/picture file from my vast laptop collections.

Unfortunately the receiver does not come with an HDMI cable in the box but I was able to buy one in the same shop for the equivalent of Kshs: 330/=. The receiver itself cost me an equivalent of Kshs:8,000/=. See some pictures below.

Any one still getting ebru africa tv 2 on sirus 4/ ses 5 ? Coz at my end the signal droped since last week i used to recieve 2 channels ebru tv& homebase HD..

mine is fluctuating up and down dont know what is the matter.

maximize your signal on SES 5 then lower your dish just a little to add the 2 channels on your setup
 
I have lost signal on the tps carrying d*g*t*rk goodies. I'm getting only Q 39% on my srt 4950h for these tps and they won't pop up. Anyone else experiencing this in Nairobi?
 
I too have lost signal on the tps carrying d*g*t*rk goodies. I wonder what lnb to use, i have a 6ft prime focus dish and stargold prime focus lnb. Location is Nairobi. I use the srt 4950h
 
On that note which is a good twin output lnb to use with 7e, i have the stargold twin that did not perform as expeceted.

A DVB-S2/T2 is now a must am also enjoying such a box in my country Mine seema much better supports IPTV,YOUPORN,YOUTUBE and CCcam

3G,LAN and WiFi

CRTV and 51 TV Congo. Both streaming the AFNEX signal of the AFCON. I'm getting both on 7e. Commentary is in French though. Amuse-toi (enjoy)
