i have visited several
transmitter sites and did some evaluation mostly on mast and tower
height plus repeater infrastructure.pang was outclassed no wonder
clients complain no signal and still (scratches).it fails
short, startimes guyed mast are 50 metres tall while other media adjacent
like sayare has a longer 110 to be precise.we all know that height
matters alot on los transmission.i do ope our media houses will share
their infrastructure and fast track digital penetration before the
september deadline in nairobi.
I doubt. I have a 90cm on ses5 and it struggles to receive 17e mounted on the side (only 12deg apart). astral 2f and nilesat are 35deg apart! Maybe a very big dish can do.
I do not know the deal you have but I would rather go for strong srt4922 as the better option. Believe me you will never regret!Someone is offering me an Astrovox VSR-9000HD is it good enough
Aftef much argument with my Arabic dictionary, we came to the conclusion that the polarity is actually vertical not horizontal as i mentioned. Sorry folks
which one of those characters say vertical, i wonder?:A S 39:

Point to note: VSR-9000HD freezes a lot.
have had the VSR-9000HD for two moons and no freezes so far. works as advertised. look at it this way, pay through the nose for a strong with facilities you will never use and maybe get a totally fake unit:A S angry🙁counterfeiters keep pace with your warnings) as a newbie or get the VSR-9000HD for a song(as not many people want it) and it is quite adequate as a HD receiver? whatchya gonna go with?
then of course you might be in the "more money than sense " and buy "the very latest/best". i am in the "mostly sensible and broke":smow: category. that is fair warning for all those wanting to follow me, i think.
The heigt does not really matter but it's a factor among the coverage area, transmitter power power, transmitter arrangement among others. Example a transmitter with power of about 2.3Mw is able to cover a radius of about 80km the best in Kenya was signet in Nakuru at about 4Mw which reached Eldoret but the power was reduced.i have visited several transmitter sites and did some evaluation mostly on mast and tower height plus repeater infrastructure.pang was outclassed no wonder clients complain no signal and still (scratches).it fails short, startimes guyed mast are 50 metres tall while other media adjacent like sayare has a longer 110 to be precise.we all know that height matters alot on los transmission.i do ope our media houses will share their infrastructure and fast track digital penetration before the september deadline in nairobi.
I bought vsr9000hd in 2012 at ksh 12000 by then it was just into market. I have suffered silently with this decoder for all hese years before ( like most members in the house) I settled for strong. May be you should ask for advice on the many features of strong since many of us are using them fully. The cost for srt 4922 is around ksh6500 and we normally buy from a special real authorized seller of these products. By the way vsr 9000 is obsolete. It lacks support and the last time its software was released was 27/09/2012. Check here: Astrovox and Micro-x Support page
So I will think twice before I dump this unworthy product neglected by its Chinese creator into my house. It is not worth it. Open your eyes and go for quality you can appreciate.
Note, with strong you can open the goodies of Di*gi*tur*k provided you have installed appropriate patch. So please it is ill informed to speak out of context of what some of us adore.

Sure. Most tps apart from nat geo one which requires very high precision of dish plus lnb alignment. Make sure you go for a prime focus lnb.Am in the processs of buying a stargold Fuji lnb for use with 1.8pf, will it improve reception inorder to get 7e goodies? I have tried to use normal ku lnb but it generally perfumes better on 90cm dish

Its good but freezes when changing channels
what of 1.8 m dish?
Nice analysis. Now any one on 68.5E will see that there are changes. Is this the start of the Kenyan Mux? Do a blind scan and tell us what you think.
