An ASAS story...
Inspired by FTA_Nash recent feat at Kinoo.. I decided to go shopping and got myself a 130cm offset at a price of 4800 KES. Got home and realized unlike the 90cm.. this beast has no supporting wall bracket(arm) packed so i went to my local welder and fabricated a 2 inch girth steel pipe 1 meter across by 70 cm high ... fixed it...no wind sheer..well protected... threw the Astel RG6 all the way down... got to the balcony and shucks.. it feel short by 10m.. all electrical shops closed by then.. 8pm Sunday.🙁 so the story continues today..
this asas will kill me with this 180cm neighbours started to think i am spying on them i hv tried to educate them on fta but they do not believe especially everytime i change set up trying to nab new bird. i also have to add ku primefocus lnb ehhh asas no cure

...... I received info that family tv is in talk with other local stations to have Kenyan mux on ku and they will be migrating from Amos5. Only NTV are yet to agree .....
They better place them all on one easily accessible Ku-Sat to speed up digital migration. Last year, a top Permanent Secretary in Government had indicated that they would consider placing the Mux on a dedicated Sat TP to improve coverage in areas not covered by DVB-T2 providers. This is long overdue. One of the challenges would be whether the TP should be hosted in a spot beam covering only Kenya (or East Africa), or on a wide Ku-Band beam covering entire Sub-Saharan Africa such as 5East, 7East, 36East, etc.
Have suffered the same suspicion, others even thought my 1.8m would interfere with their D**v reception! Just keep on with your magics. we have seen the light. keep the FTA spirit burning
