And that means if the middle East market shifts against them, they fail miserably.
I remember their regional sales representative once came to Kenya and summoned Kenyan sat enthusiasts to air their opinions with regards to their products.. When it was suggested to him that they widely avail a variety of their products like dishes in Kenya, his answer was its upto the consumers (the sat enthusiasts) to convince more local dealers to carry their products!
What a poor attitude towards africa? Which seller expects the consumer to do the marketing for him?
And now apparently they're fighting software patchers. The same guys who have kept them afloat all these years..

Thry make decoders and their biggest market is content providers using their decoders to sell their content. Al jazeera sports during those days used to sell cards which were compatible with strong decoders as well as humax decoders. That is where money is made for them. Not from individual buyers like us who buy once in a while. They want to move millions of decoders in a month and that can only happen when companies buy decoders for ppv from them. You can now see how patches are messing them up on this objective
