Raymond Jeuris (23 January 1928 – 14 March 2021) was a Belgian politician of the Christian Social Party and was 20 years mayor of Alken between 1975 and 1994.Jeuris started his career as teacher at a agricultural school. He became active as a schepen in the local politics before he became mayor of Alken in 1975. In his twenty years as mayor he has started many projects including the industrial estate, playground in the centre of Alken, sports fields and sports hall, youth clubs, and neighborhoods. He retired in 1994.
After his retirement he stayed livind in Alken with his wife. Jeuris died in the Residential care center Sint Cecilia in Alken where he lived his last years on 14 March 2021, aged 93.
