Nina java standalone database(mySql) application nataka niisambaze for free lakini tatizo lipo kwenye jinsi ya kujumuisha database katika executable file ili nayo iwe installed pamoja na application bila kufanya kila kimoja pekee yake.

Msaada on this wataalamu please!

Umetumia embedded connection au server connection? Kama ni embedded, ukiconfigure vizuri libraries za application na db connection yako, unaweza ukatengeneza native bundle ya hiyo application then ukatengeneza custom installer package ambayo inainclude hiyo database.

Tuanzie hapa, umetumia db client ipi? MySQL au Derby au...

Nimetumia server connection,db client ni MySQL.
Nimesoma sehemu kuhusu embedded server application ila sijaelewa kitu.
You seem to know better therefore help a brother.

Sasa...embedded database server inakuenable developer kutengeneza database ambayo haitohitaji any server software kwenye client's computer. The database driver comes in a library ambayo unaiinclude kwenye project yako, kwahiyo ile database derver inakuwa under control ya application yako na inarun in the same JVM as the apllication.

Hiyo library unayoinclude ndio inakuwa na all the classes and methods required for database connection and manipulation through queries. Sijafahamu kama mysql wana embedded server, ila nilitumia derby ambayo ukishaiconfigure mambo ni murua. You import its classes in yours alafu unaiconfigure kutumia embedded connection, unaipa db location na credentials alafu ile connection object ndiyo unaitumia kufanya queries.


Kwa mysql, labda tuanze kwa kufind out kama wana embedded drivers.

No,mysql hawana embedded drivers.Niliposoma kuhusu embedding nikaambiwa ni sqlite na derby tu ndo wanaweza kufanya hicho kitu.Let me go through derby then ntakupa marejesho au kama unaweza kunipa clues abt derby kuhusu queries especially subqueries na mengine related to ms sql server and mysql coz that is what i know better.

Apart from the connectivity, vingine ni the same. Kuna tofauti ndogo sana ya syntax ya query kwenye baadhi ya vitu kama kucreate an auto increment column. Cha muhimu udownload documentation ya derby.

Ok,vp kuhusu embedding that derby sasa kwenye kutengeneza hiyo exe au jar file coz umeniambia kuwa u had once faced the same problem!

The only thing that would be needed is the database folder ili upate database access. Unachotakiwa kufanya ni kutengeneza an installer that includes your application and ships the database folder with it. Cha kufanya, unadeploy your application as an image ili upate ile application folder ambalo linakuwa na app na runtime yake, then unatumia external tools kama Inno Setup Compiler kutengeneza an installer which includes the application folder and the database folder and installs them on a specified location on the user's machine. You do this by writing a script, na maelezo yote ya jinsi ya kutengeneza setup yanakuja na hiyo program.

Mengine utayajulia mbele since you now know the approach.

What Kind of application? Does it depend on remote server or what. What are you storing in database.
You are asking us to help you implement your poor solution but saying what you are doing opens up to better ways!
So I will ask for the last time, what are you trying to do?

My poor solution has already been implemented by the help of some other nice and quite poor hands.
