What is the space between one star with another?

What is the space between one star with another in the sky ? But also these things confuse me, Sun is a star according to my understanding and my teachers, but moon is not a star?

If yes what is it? If no when and why? May be in jf there is no astronomers but answers are here here from you friend

Jupiter sio nyota mkuu. Ungekuwa na program kwenye computer inaitwa Globe ni nzuri sana inaonyesha map ya anga katika muda uliopo hivyo unaweza kulocate ni nyota au planet
