Good news to "HAPA KAZI TU" philosophy, its time to unite and work together!

For big and beautiful country like TZ, there will always be countries in need of our cooperation. If we are descent and less corrupt enough for the benefit of the country, soon we'l forget to beg for aids and grants.

Maalim Seif Sharif mlimwabia anataka kuwaleta Waarabu sasa Magufuli kawapata wapi hawa.

Omani consortium to invest $100mn in Air Tanzania

A consortium of Omani investors is planning to invest US$100mn in Air Tanzania Co Ltd (ATCL), the national carrier of Tanzania, to help the ailing airline's revival plans, according to Tanzanian media reports.

Daily News, the official government newspaper in Tanzania, reported on Friday that ATCL and the Omani consortium would sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) by end of this week.

The report quoted Sheikh Salim al Harthy, chairman of Al Hayat Development and Investment Co, which is leading the Omani consortium to invest in Air Tanzania, as saying that the plan is to build an airline training centre, offices for ATCL, buy planes and engage in other development activities which they plan to initiate within six to ten months.

“As part of this commitment, we intend to sign an agreement with Air Tanzania to invest US$100mn and lead a consortium of other investors that we have close relations with,” said Harthy.

According to media reports, Captain Milton Lazaro, chief executive officer of ATCL, has welcomed the development as good news that is likely to see the airline “stand on its feet once again.”

According to Captain Lazaro, the airline had already held initial talks with the investors who have shown readiness to put money in ATCL.

“The MoU would elaborate the extent of the investment and in which areas the money would go. That is an amount of money which can change the company. We believe with this, we will be back on our feet,” Captain Lazaro added.

In October last year, the Tanzanian President, Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete, accompanied by a high-profile business delegation, visited Oman and exchanged views on bilateral relations to explore opportunities for bilateral cooperation in business, education and other areas.

Four agreements relating to investment and higher education were signed on the sidelines of Omani-Tanzanian businessmen forum held as part of the Presidential visit.

Kwanini iwe ni ku open new market in Afrika through Tanzania na sio new market in Oman through Tanzania?

Nani anaweza kuwekeza real estate Oman???
Najaribu kuwaza tu mwenyewe
