Traffic police taking pictures outside of 50 zone?

Yesterday I drove from Singida to Nyakanazi and I was pulled over twice for speeding. I am certain I did not exceed 50 within the zones but both times the officers insisted. The second time the officers even had the audacity to pull me over and say I was speeding before the picture was even sent to his phone ! Both time I asked for a copy of the picture and to be shown the spot it was taken and was refused. I was also refused the official yellow receipt.

My questions are, do the police operate with impunity ? I have changed my behavior and never drive over 50 in a zone but if they can take your picture anywhere and extort 30,000 tsh then what are we to do ? What are my rights or do I not have any ?

I should also mention at each place all the drivers were saying the same that they were certain they were not speeding in the zone.

Hahaaa mbona kwenye mitandao kujisajili ni kiingereza na mnajisajili vzuri tu, pili simu zote zimekuwa programmed kizungu ila hata bibi sitimbi anaflow touch clicking za kutosha! Ukiamua unaweza
Anyway jamaa kazinguliwa na traffic wa kibongo aliendesha gari speed 50km/kwa saa ndani ya eneo la huo mwendo elekezi bado akazinguliwa!! Je afanyeje??

If u paid its for ur own fate, u had to resist and ask for further investigations over the event. You had to fight for your right if you are sure you were bullied!

Some of the Police officers are not honesty,they just collect revenue not otherwise!!! Police Officers are everything in this country, once you refuse to pay illegal 30,000/= traffic offence may be changed!!

As of now, you don't have any rights. Those poor guys have been given a minimum amount of cash that they have to collect per week from drivers no matter the circumstances. They will use any trick possible to achieve that objective. Otherwise, wanakunyanga kale ka gold mine aka TORCH.
