Total picks three groups to bid for Uganda FEED
Competing contractors have six months to come up with a design for Lake Albert oil project
French oil giant Total has selected three contracting groups to take part in a front-end engineering and design contest centred on its multi-billion-dollar Lake Albert oil project in Uganda.
The six-month design competition sees Paris-based TechnipFMC pitted against Texas-based CB&I and Texan compatriot Fluor.
Upstream reported earlier this month that TechnipFMC and CB&I would take part in the FEED contest.
By the end of August this year, the three contractors will come up with competing solutions on how best to develop
