Tiger Woods

Jana alipoanza kufanya vitu vyake mbele ya Phil Mickelson na Adam Scott nilikuwa nakenua tu gego mpaka gego na kutotaka kubanduka mbele ya TV. I am worried a little bit by his limping, I hope it won't derail his efforts to win another US open.

Ondoa shaka Tiger aliamua kufanya operation baada ya kushindwa last major. Hivi sasa yuko kwenye comfort zone yake na Stuart Appleby nafikiri ana kiporo. I can't wait for tomorrow if Appleby will be still there to challenge him. The bookies have Tiger at 1.90/1 and Stuart at 12/1. They know what is coming.

Tiger takes Torrey — on one leg

History on the making enjoy.

Screaming eagles

Playing on a surgically repaired left knee, Tiger Woods made three unforgettable shots Saturday to grab a one-shot lead over Lee Westwood at the U.S. Open

Agony ,,, Woods, who had knee surgery on April 15, was clearly in pain, especially toward the end of the day. Asked after the round if his knee was getting worse, he replied, "Yes, it is."

Woods thrilled the crowd again at the par-4 17th. His approach shot landed in thick grass between a bunker and the green, giving him an awkward stance with his weight on the painful left side. His chip took one hop and went in. Woods broke into sheepish laughter as caddie Steve Williams offered a hand.

Woods came to the 18th at one under, a shot behind Lee Westwood. He manufactured a cut shot to hit a fairway for the first time since the 10th hole. He followed that with another cut shot and hit the green. He rolled in the putt, left, for another eagle and a one-shot lead at three under.

Despite his heroic finish, Woods struggled early. His first tee shot went left and found the deep rough.

Day Three: Woods was a one-man rollercoaster

Catch me if you can

The first two holes has been so unpleasant for Tiger another double bogey and a bogey, he is now level and the English man (L. Westwood) is leading by 0ne shot.

Tiger will seal the victory in the back nine if his sore knee behaves.

Rocky start for Tiger....................but he will fight today (monday) for a show down with Rocco Mediate

0151 GMT: BIRDIE Woods (-1 after 18) Absolutely incredible. You just run out of words to describe him. Woods fires the ball across the green and somehow it grabs the right hand side of the cup and rolls in. He goes wild, as does the crowd. How has he done it?

Inategemea huko uswahili unakozungumzia ni wapi. Sasa hivi Tanzania kuna wengi wanaofuatilia mchezo huu kwa karibu sana ukilinganisha na enzi zile za Salim Mwanyenza.

Tiger Woods have three shorts lead after 10 holes. Another major in the making ........8 holes to go but it will depend how Rocco can react at the moment the game will end on the 15th green if the situation stays as it is, ... ... unless Rocco pulls something from the bag......

Huu mchezo wa kutumbukiza kimpira kwenye kishimo uswahilini kwetu haujulikani.....

Sio ushwahilini tu, hata Marekani huu mchezo una taswira ya utabaka-tawala.

Coorparate activist, Carl Icahn, anapenda kuwamaliza Wakuu wa Wall Street kwa kujilipa vijisenti kibao huku makampuni yao yanafeli kwa sababu "they are playing too much golf..."

Golf mchezo wa kifisadi...

Rocco pulls some good shots from the bag and its all square after 14 holes. Four holes to go... ...

Sudden death Now all square after 18 holes. Wow!

The first sudden death hole will be the 461-yard par 4 seventh. After that, it's No. 8, then No. 18.

Tiger Woods won the US open on the first hole of sudden death ..... more to come.

Thats make 14 Majors so far ... ...what a fighter ....

Comes with a cheaque of $ 1 350 000 - 00.

The Hard Way

"I threw everything I had, the kitchen sink, everything right at him," Mediate said.

Playing in pain and not at the top of his game, Tiger Woods battled for 91 holes, rallying late in regulation and again in a playoff to overcome Rocco Mediate for what he ranked as the best of his 14 major championships.

Marathon Major

Woods missed an eagle putt for the outright win on 18.

Tiger Woods and Rocco Mediate played 19 holes on Monday at the 108th U.S. Open. In the end, Tiger Woods proved once again why he is the world's No. 1 golfer.

Playing for the first time in two months, Woods frequently showed signs that his left knee wasn't fully healed.

A gritty playoff on a bum knee ... but Tiger Woods wins the 2008 U.S. Open.

Its mine for this year …… teh …teh…. Kwi kwi kwi…..

"I understand why my dad was so emotional in 2002 when I won and I brought it back to him," Woods said. "I understand now, now that I am a father, how he felt to have my daughter there and to have Elin there, it means so much more when you do it. Obviously it's not Father's Day, but close enough."

"It means everything," Woods said of having his daughter there.

Tiger Woods to have season-ending knee surgery
By DOUG FERGUSON, AP Golf Writer

AP - Jun 18, 11:40 am EDT 1 of 4 Golf Gallery Tiger Woods is done for the year, but not without one last major that capped off a painful 10 months.

Woods said Wednesday he will have season-ending knee surgery, revealing he has had a torn ligament in his left knee since last July.

And he suffered a double stress fracture of his left tibia while preparing to return to the PGA Tour last month, which forced him to miss the Memorial and was the source of his pain at Torrey Pines when he won the U.S. Open.

“Now, it is clear that the right thing to do is to listen to my doctors, follow through with this surgery and focus my attention on rehabilitating my knee,” Woods said in a statement on his Web site.

He had arthroscopic surgery April 15 to clean out cartilage in his left knee, bypassing ACL surgery with hopes it could get him through the 2008 season. But going 91 holes for his 14th career major made it impossible to play any longer.

Woods was last seen in public late Monday afternoon walking with a pronounced limp across Torrey Pines toward the parking lot, the U.S. Open trophy in his arms.

Upcoming surgery makes his 14th major title even more staggering—despite the stress fractures, he managed to win a U.S. Open that required five days of flinching, grimacing and a long list of spectacular shots that have defined his career.
