Dick and Kari Clark were determined to build their romantic getaway there, even though the Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy was dead-set against any structure on the promontory.
The large window at the center of the photo is the living room. The alcove to the right is the entrance. To the right of that, obscured by the agave plant, is the dining area.
