Thank God for the KENYAN constitution

if Kenyans did not pass the new constitution we would be in big trouble. Case in point the Mps attempt to award themselves a hefty send off package to the detriment of the common mwananchi. it seems Mps when passing the constitution did not carefully read it. now their salaries will be reviewed and downgraded they can no longer set their own salaries. we now have an independent judiciary which doesn't take orders from the executive now many cases that nobody dared to take to court are being heard and dealt with in an open transparent manner,greatly reduced powers of the president. the president can no longer appoint whoever he desires without public participation what is left is the police reform which i hope will make the police more independent and have less interference from the national government. Can you imagine what it would be like without it

asante sana kwa ushauri wako mzuri lakini tatizo letu hapa tunatumia ile kanuni ya "chaguo la wengi ni chaguo la Mungu". Sasa wengi wetu hawaijui hiyo katiba lakini hata wale wachache tunaoijua, kwa hakika "we do not know what we want"!
Kwa hiyo uwezekano wa kupita na kujirudia ile ya zamani ni mkubwa mno

It was not easy to deliver a new kenyan constitution after a troublesome time. The demand for a new constitution will pose a myriad of challenges for those who want real democracy in Tanzania.
