Tanzania, Uganda overtake Kenya in major infrastructural projects

Unless those infrastructures projects are not in Uganda and Tanzania budget - otherwise their combined budget for this year is less than Kenya. Tanzania remain heavily indebted donor dependent country and cannot possibly execute more projects than kenya. I guess DebtWire is looking for headline projects.
Ukiwa na akili mbovu ndio unaweza andika au kufikiria kama wewe, Tanzania Depts to DGP ratio is 38%, while Kenya is 60%, which country is heavily indebted donor dependent.

TRA collects TSh 14 trillion,7 trillion salary the remaining goes to pay debts ,where do you get money for development if not loans ? You people should stop worshipping ******** and face the reality on the ground.

Hahahaha if we pay 50% of our revenues monthly while our debts to GDP ratio is only 36%, then Kenya with debts to GDP ratio of 60%, then pays 60% of its revenues, 53% wages, 40% corruption, these alone makes 153%, that's why you have hunger, you have nothing left for food.

You can still make your point without resorting to base insults.

First indeed budget is estimates of what gov intend to spend - and what it intend to collect. Kenya budget - expenditures & revenues - I think are more than UG & TZ & RW & Bu combined. Those 4 cannot therefore execute more public projects than Kenya.

As regard to debt - GDP to debt is important signal but more important is revenue to debt - or the ability to service those debt. Tanzania has been in several debt crisis before and has it's debt forgiven. It still classified as HIPC - and it mostly receive sweatheart debts from likes of IMF & WB. TZ also still has nearly 1/5 of it's budget donor-aid. Kenya shares has reduced to nearly 0.5%.

So without the benefit of reading DebtWire - I am thinking they are looking for headline projects like Oil Pipeline and not really doing a thorough job.

Ukiwa na akili mbovu ndio unaweza andika au kufikiria kama wewe, Tanzania Depts to DGP ratio is 38%, while Kenya is 60%, which country is heavily indebted donor dependent.

hebu tupige hesabu...

TRA ilicollect $8Billion 2017, KRA ilicollect $14Billion ambayo ni sawa na bajeti nzima ya TZ

2016 --- Kenya infrastructure spending -- $7.9 Billion Source
2016 --- Tz infrastructure Spending -- $5 Billion Source
-----------------------------Difference 7.9 - 5 = $2.9B ---------------------------------

2017 Kenya still spent more than Tz

2018 --- Kenya infrastructure spending after cancelling 545 projects --- $5Billion (source is this thread)
2018 --- Tz infrastructure Spending on the year they laid foundation for a $3Billion pipeline ---- $6.5 Billion
-------------------------------------------------------------------- Difference 6.5 - 5 = $1.5B -------------------------------

Kwahivyo ukiangalia cumulatively from 2016-2018, bado hamjaishinda Kenya kwa infrustructure spending... You will have to keep that pace up and spend more than Kenya 2019 and beyond..

Kenya’s East African peers will race past it as the new home for mega infrastructure projects in 2019, thanks to President Uhuru Kenyatta’s austerity measures.
Debtwire, an intelligence service that researches and reports on corporate debt situations, put the value of Tanzania’s prospective infrastructure projects at Sh650 billion, far ahead of Kenya’s Sh50 billion. Even Uganda will be teaming with more lucrative projects compared to Kenya, valued at Sh550 billion.
This comes at a time when Treasury tabled a report in Parliament revealing that implementation of some 545 major projects had stalled as the President initiated harsh austerity measures.

broda, the revenue to debt ratio is also NOT good n ENOUGH indicator. the important thing is the ratios of recurrent vs development expenditures. Kenya uses its highest percentage of revenue in recurrent expenditures, notably salaries. Furthermore, corruption is eroding big chunk of your proceeds. this's why your expenditure in projects is dwindling. as a result you borrow to pay matured debt obligations.

Kenya Overtaken by Uganda & Tanzania in Infrastructure

Ninarudia, Kenya imezidiwa seven times katika infrastructure, tafuta eneo ambalo Kenya imeizidi Tanzania ili tujadili, ila usipotizi nguvu nyingi kupinga huu ukweli.

Yani article inafwatana word by word na unaiona Kama source nyengine... ntakusamehe kwavile we si mkenya.... tovuti za kenyans.co.ke, tuko.co.ke, politics.co.ke si mainstream media, ni kampuni ambazo ziko na wafanyikazi Kama 5, 80% ya habari wanazochapisha wametoa kwengine....

Anyway, hebu kwa Dakika moja tuamini kwamba Kenya imepunguza spending kutoka over Ksh700B hadi 50B. Hio itamaanisha tumepunguza by $6.5B ......

Nathani umeona ile video iliotoka juzi ambapo Rais alikua amekasirika akibishana na waziri wa Infrastructure mr.Macharia wakiwa hapo Lamu port. Rais akimuuliza Macharia kwanini Contractor hajalipwa hela za next 3 months Wakati pesa zilishatolewa na wizara ya fedha kumaanisha Lamu port is not part of the 543 suspended projects manake it’s not a new project.
