Wow I didn't even know thisTell me why;? You seem not to be knowing the dynamics in Train Tech. And obviously you think by being electric means modern.
ELECTRIC TRAINS ARE AS OLD AS DIESEL, EVEN OLDER.
THE FIRST WAS BUILD IN 1870S'
View attachment 1190090
SO TO CHOOSE BETWEEN THE TWO DEPENDS ON FACTORS LIKE AVAILABILITY OF ELECTRICITY AND ITS STABILITY AND VALUE FOR MONEY.
NOT SKEWED THINKING OF SAYING ELECTRIC TRAINS ARE MODERN.

TO EDUCATE YOU MORE, ZIMBABWE LAUNCHED ELECTRIC TRAINS AS EARLY AS 1983.
THAT WAS REALLY A SHOW OFF RIGHT? JUST LIKE TZ WILL WANT TO DO.
HOWEVER THEY WENT BACK TO DIESEL AFTER REALIZING,,,,, ELECTRIC IS NOT MODERN

ETHIOPIA IS SHOWING THE VERY SIGNS, SOON THEY WILL BE BACK TO DIESEL.
YAANI MKENYA AKIFANYA KITU HUWA AMEPIGA MBELE VIPOA.
Acha porojo miingi hakuna nchi inayojitambua ikajenga rail ili ije kutumia diesel trains siku za leo..hiyo ni total failure!!Tell me why;? You seem not to be knowing the dynamics in Train Tech. And obviously you think by being electric means modern.

You still don't understand, do you???Acha porojo miingi hakuna nchi inayojitambua ikajenga rail ili ije kutumia diesel trains siku za leo..hiyo ni total failure!!

I can tell you bro.Wow I didn't even know this
Tanzania looks forward to having enough power from the ongoing Dam construction which is a good forward thinking.
Is the commissioning of this SGR going to wait till the completion of the Dam or is it going to use Generators as it does now to run the SGR.
One should understand that having enough power is one thing, but having it stable is another.
That means, even if Tanzania starts producing excess power, it also has to do redundancy. duplicating high voltage lines across a large country like TZ is no joke.
In simple, for SGR Tanzania and SGR Ethiopia to work efficiently, a lot more work and expenses away from the real project has to be done.
THIS EVENTUALLY MAKES THE TWO PROJECTS TERRIBLY UNECONOMICAL AND EXPENSIVE.
NYANGAUS WE THINK AND EXECUTE. IN BONGO THEY COPY AND PASTE WITH BELOW 1% OF THEIR .......... ๐ณโ
Ethiopians???? Who are they!?!..they do their things,we do ours, although their trains are as ugly as yours..You still don't understand, do you???
Follow the instances on Ethiopian SGR closely in the next five years.....
Hata nyani huwa mjanja porini. Lakini kudeki hajui.Wabongo wooote wajanja hakuna mtz anayeweza kufurahia moshi trains..what a shock of the century๐๐
But this one ๐๐๐๐๐๐ ...Hata nyani huwa mjanja porini. Lakini kudeki hajui.
ujanja wenu mahali unafikia, ndio ujinga wa wengine hukomea. ligi mbili tofauti
