Seven Parliamentary Officials Committed to High Court Over Corruption Charges

The Anti-Corruption Magistrate’s Court has committed seven Parliamentary officials to the High Court to face trial over corruption related charges.​

During the proceedings, defence lawyer Asuman Basalirwa told court that he had lost contact with one of the accused, Ms Stella Itute, and was therefore no longer representing her.

Itute was subsequently omitted from the final indictment submitted to the High Court.
