I find here we are mixing two things, EAC and the projected EAF, naungana na Wa-Tz kuwa as far as the status quo is concerned EAF cant work, zaidi zitatu-spoil, much as people aren't eating POLITICS ila UGALI ambao utapatikana through swift and perfect EAC.
Of coz we need to take wth great care EAC formulation, lakini at the end of the day sioni nini tunakikwepa ktk EAC na nini tunakubaki/tutakubakali, mfano katika EPA (Economic Patnership Agreement), the current era of globalization, forces from outside zitatufanya tufungue mipaka, whether we like or not!...fate will tell!
What i see as a problm wth EAC/EAF, most of Eastafricans (esp. Kenyans/Ugandans ,incl. thier leaders, ambao nimeishi nao for quite sometime), wanaona kama EAC/EAF as an end, na sio means to an end, that is to say the regional block will solve their socio economic prblm, iwe ajira, siasa safi au hata tribal conflicts, which is wrong!, maendeleo ya nchi at the first place yataletwa na wananchi+viongozi ambako wako visioned wa nchi husika, hizi regional block zaonezea chachu tu! (catalayse the process)
Kesho na k'twa mnaungana, chinga frm Mtwara anapiga miayo pale Mchikichini, hana ajira, hana hata kipande cha ardhi, hana mtaji, hana kila kitu, atomuna Mkikuyu duka la pili toke pale alipolala kuwa ndio KIKWAZO au say KISABABISHI cha yeye kuwa hivyo (iwe hivyo kweli au hata isiwe hivyo), the next step itakuwa ni kufanya yale ambayo Wasauzi did to Wazimbabwe na waafrika wengine kule kwao, miaka 3 iliyopita, au la what English did to other non europens natives at the foot of global crisis!
Anyways fate will tell, lets wait and see how things will unfold then!
