TTB INITIATIVE TO PROMOTE COUNTRY'S TOURIST ATTRACTIONS BECOMES SUCESSFUL
Tanzania Tourist Boards initiative to promote the countrys tourist attractions abroad bore fruits recently after the winners of a raffle organized by TTB and CNN promised to Tanzanias tourist potential in their countries.
George Tengeneza, TTB Public Information Officer told the Guardian that the lottery which was jointly conducted by TTB and CNN aimed to promoting destination Tanzania in the United States and was open for every Us citizen to participate. Sandra Humpt from US and her son Jeffrey who were nominated as CNNs Ultimate Safaris sweepstakes winner have said they would help to promote Tanzanian's Tourism attractions.
According to Tengeneza the lottery which was jointly conducted by TTB aand CNN was carried out in 2008 in the US.
He said among the 38,749 entries Sandra Haupt was nominated the overall winner and she and her son came to Tanzania last month to visit the country's tourist attractions.
They stayed in Tanzania for seven days in which they visited Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro crater. Tengeneza said Humpt promised to promote the country's tourist attractions back home.
