What to eat in the morning

By Michael Mbasha

Actually, this is the old news that all big differences begins from the little ones, nevertheless, we are often too busy or just too lazy to incorporate a few healthy habits into our lives. Pay some attention at your ordinary morning routine, maybe tomorrow is the right time to set the tone for a productive, healthy and happy day henceforth opening the door to a plenty of beautiful weeks, months and years ahead.

Here are some tips to inspire you:

1. Drink A Glass Of Warm Pure Water As Soon As You Wake Up

This rehydrates your body, revs up your digestive system and gets things flowing. You may notice positive changes like clearer skin and better digestion. Bonus points if you add a squeeze of fresh lemon juice or a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar.

2. Do Not Check Your Email Or Phone For At Least An Half of Hour

If you sleep with your cell phone under the pillow and grab it first thing when you wake, this is not a good habit, at all. And it is not only about harmful radiation, but about your mental health, as well. If you choose to resist the temptation to check your email or phone until at least a half of an hour after waking up, you’ll find that your mind is clearer, focused and stress free.

3. Step Outside To Take A Deep Breath

Fill your lungs with fresh air. Even if it’s a little bit chilly outside or you are in a hurry (really, this only takes 10 seconds!)

4. Move Your Body

You don’t necessarily have to do an intense workout before breakfast, but moving your body even a little is a great way to get the blood flowing and shake the body into wake-up mode. Simply doing a few stretches is a great option.

5. Take Time To Eat A Healthy Breakfast

Rather than reaching for a box of instant cereal or sugary corn flacks, focus on getting real foods into your body. Eggs, oats, fresh or dried fruits, yogurt, sandwiches, toasts or smoothies are all great options. (and they really don’t take that much time to prepare as it may seem at the first sight.)

6. Say Your Affirmations

Look into the mirror and say something positive to yourself like “Every cell in my body is healthy and vibrant.”

Be positive and Have a nice day!
