Netflix is livestreaming NASA’s Artemis II lunar flyby today, the first time humans have flown around the Moon since Apollo 17 in 1972.
Four brave astronauts Commander Reid Wiseman, Pilot Victor Glover, Mission Specialist Christina Koch (NASA), and Jeremy Hansen (CSA) are aboard the Orion spacecraft, skimming just 4,000–6,000 miles above the lunar surface.
They'll capture stunning high-resolution photos and firsthand observations of the far side of the Moon, areas never seen directly by human eyes before.This isn't just a flyby it's a pivotal step toward returning humans to the lunar surface and beyond.
During the closest approach, the Moon will appear as large as a basketball held at arm’s length, and the crew may even break the Apollo 13 distance record from Earth.
