National Chess Champion Hawi Kaloki Dies At 19

Kenyan chess player Hawi Kaloki has died at the age of 19, weeks before he was expected to compete in a world tournament.

Hawi was a national champion who had represented Kenya internationally and was regarded as one of the country’s most promising young chess talents.
