I love Kenya and I sincerely admit that, my attachment to Kenya in various aspects has been of great positive impact in my life. However, the said attachment has had exposed me into enlightenment concerning Kenya so to speak.
I have been recently keen to Kenyan politics. However, on the contrary to what I thought before, the ways of doing politics to the majority Kenyans are so pathetic, leaving alone other ways (discussion of the other day), primitive tribalism is the most killer element of all.
Tribalism in other parts of the world, even here as I write, can only be refered to for purposes community, such as, discussion on developments in the said localities, where these tribesmen come from. We also can call on tribal gatherings for matters local rituals, contributions for social activities and things with the local face.
Surprisingly, opposite to what I would have expected, I have seen Kenyans explicitly talking and bragging in a public domain concerning their tribes on matters national.
It is not even a big deal to hear a Kenyan utter sentences, like, Zamu hii ni Zamu yetu ( referring his/ her tribe people to get in power, have a certain position in the government or any parastatal appointments).
Now, tell me, in this era where people are thinking of universality, how come that, we still have people who always run into their tribal outfits in line with propagating primitive tribalism.
Let matters tribal, remain ancestral and local beliefs keeper and not a priority over our our national common good and also national interests.
You are one as Kenyans and you only have one country, Kenya. Therefore embracing tribal coucoons is purely for your own destruction.
May you shun off from being tribalistic and above all, don't embrace such primitivity.
Bless you!
