A proposal to make patriotism training mandatory for all Senior Six vacation students has drawn criticism from opposition political parties.

If approved, the proposal would require students who complete their Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) examinations to undergo patriotism training at the Leadership Training Institute in Kyankwanzi.

Opposition parties have questioned the proposal, raising concerns over making the training compulsory for students after their final secondary school examinations.
