Tunaelekea kufikisha wiki moja sasa tangu hii skandal ya rwakatare ifumuke. Kila siku tunaambiwa kwamba "video ile imepikwa," au "ukitumia metadata unaiona" au sijui "hata megaMac pia inaonyesha"...; au "kama umesoma ICT huhitaji hata dakika 2 kujua kama imepigwa".... n.k.

Lakini ukweli ni kwamba mpaka hivi leo, hakuna mwanachadema hata mmoja aliyetumia metadata, wala mega-Mac, software video/audio distinguisher, wala ICT kutuonyesha kwamba ile video imepikwa. Kwangu mimi binafsi huu ni uthibitisho kwamba ile video ni .............

Nadhani hapa ccm au serikali yake wamefanikiwa kupenyeza jasusi lao ndani ya uongozi wa chadema na kuweza kufunua siri za chadema; sasa chadema kwa kuficha aibu yao kwamba hawana umakini wowote na ccm wana uwezo wa kupenya kwenye intelijensia yao; ndiyo wanatuambia kwamba "video imepikwa".

Kubalini tuu kwamba ccm wameshapenya kwenye milango yenu ya nyuma na sasa hivi mnao mpaka matumboni mwenu.

Kubalini tuu kwamba ccm wameshapenya kwenye milango yenu ya nyuma na sasa hivi mnao mpaka matumboni mwenu.

Thank God because at least there is a way of verifying this evil spirit evidenced here. However I am not certain with the willingness and capacity of police tz to go further to that metadata. Police Tz has been a major suspect in these kinds of scenarios the situation that pauses questions on police tz reliability in carrying out fair investigation and prosecution as long as this matter is concerned.

CHADEMA leaders now should work on the metadata and publicize everything concerned to this video so as to stop such nasty games and to create public awareness. After the reality is out, all members of this syndicate must be taken to court for the sake of restoring the goodness of our Tanzania.

The only way to work out on this political ambiguity!

Metadata usually hide information that can embarrassingly lead to revelation of secrets resulting in leakage of business deals, hidden agendas and other crucial information, and hence a danger of exposing secrets which can be very costly!

It is known that (I will not put refs for now) even for reputable companies with server-based metadata removal, 10% of all information (provided they are in electronic form) going out of company server have metadata.

Metadata can reveal how an electronic file was created. Metadata for example can tell you whether this video was taken continuously from one place or just a combination of parts taken from different places in different times. It provides plenty of other information as well.

"One of the factors that distinguishes electronic documents from their paper counterparts and contributes to the complexity of electronic document records management is that electronically stored data is accompanied by metadata. Metadata "describes" the underlying data. It may include information such as what language it’s written in; where the data is stored; number of characters, pages and words; what tools were used to create it; when the data was created/modified and by whom." I'm certain for large percentage, that this video is a forgery. The only way to clear this dilemma is to work it the clever way by extracting the meta information associated with the video file!

I'm convinced that there is little chance for people (who may also be not intelligent enough) who created this video to have ever thought of the meta info hidden in the file. And because the video is posted on internet, that means they cannot take it all back in order to remove metadata. Metadata can be extracted by just executing a small piece of code in the command prompt.

Yes, information should be submitted to the court as an evidence or let some geek do it before the public in the court so that everyone can witness!

Alternatively: Extract images from a video, then get EXIF (exchangeable image file) to analyze.

GOOD news, I like this analytical and intellectual vision. Lets not play with technology. In fact, technology can reveal every single event within the video. There is NO case to answer in this video scandal, else the oposite part of the case gonna be in hot soup.
