Tanzanian inmates in HK prisons have made the following comments:
1. Edward Lowassa's craving for the presidency ("craving" not too strong a word, he's made so many attempts - see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edward_Lowassa) is a serious concern. His main motivation seems to be power, not the good of the country.
2: Lowassa's close friendship with JK and CCM over so many years ....is he now likely to expose and clean up the corruption installed by CCM? 3. Slaa has worked so hard for so many years to build up Chadema, and has tirelessly and fearlessly exposed corruption in Tanzania.
He was in a winning position to take Tz to a new level of government ....why has he been preferred to someone with highly questionable credentials?
4. So many prominent people are leaving CCM to join Chadema. Is their motive the good of the country or ambition to have power?
5. People in the Philippines keep electing bad politicians, because they are media stars etc.
Is Tz going to fall for the same trap?
