Sasa Clouds wanamzibia riziki gani huyo mdada kama ameweza kukusanya idadi kubwa ya watu kwenye hicho kitamasha chake?
All that beef was nothing but a publicity stunt to generate interest in her newly released album and boost ticket sales for her mini-concert that she played on the parking lot of her business establishment.
In the music business it's very hard to maintain longevity, relevance, and yet still be on top. Not even Michael Jackson could do that. And 13 years in the industry is no joke. It's a lifetime. In that span many one hit wonders have come and gone. But somehow she's managed to hang around.
So, purportedly she's been on top of the game for some time but in recent years her status had started to peter out as more and more hungry upcoming artists were gunning for that top position.
The only way for her to find relevance again was to repackage her offering by creating a different persona, coming up with a new nickname of Anaconda (not sure about what the significance of that non-venomous serpent is), and last but not least employ just about every artist's favorite tactic when they are about to release a new album, i.e. start a beef with somebody who will garner you the much needed publicity that you are looking for.
Enter her beef with Clouds radio and it's top management brass. Look at the timing of it. Does any right minded person believe that timing to coincide with the release of her new album was an accident? I damn sure don't think it was an accident. It was very much by design. And of course, she had to play her position of the underdog going up against a leviathan in the showbiz.
That position assured her of public sympathy and support which she got. In the end, she made a killing and laughed all the way to the bank. Some of her ardent fans came out a bit light in the pocket thanks to the 50K cover charge of her mini-concert.
Clouds came out unscathed. I haven't seen, read, or heard anything about it losing any commercial ads due to that so called beef. If anything, I think it's listenership has increased though some folks won't readily admit that they do tune in to it religiously.
So there you have it ladies and gentleman, boys and girls. Just waiting to see what she'll do next. Waiting to see what else she got up her sleeve(s).
