Eight people have lost their lives in a tragic road crash this evening at Kibega I Village along the Mbarara–Lyantonde Highway.
The deceased were all in a Toyota Hiace that attempted to overtake in a corner from Mbarara to Lyantonde, where they ended up colliding with a Trailer coming from the opposite direction. Among the deceased is Julius Kitone, a journalist from NBS television, a prominent media house in Uganda.
