It has never been a choice and it will never be. People fought but only Gods knows they could not win because technology know-how the Africans/blacks had in those days, they were no ways out to resist otherwise you tell me they sent themselves to Europe and America and asked for that. Jews were subjected to slavery for 500 years more than once, you don't hear them crying and complaining about it like blacks.
We black race should stop blaming slavery for every thing negative in our lives. Let's move on.

Through social media Kanye is trying to stipulate the fact that people have been misleading throughout human history.

When you talk about slavery and slave trade you are talking about bad thing human being ever experienced all over the world while its intensity witnessed in African continent especially in West African Coastal. The matter here is no the media you are using to deliver the intended message.

Regarding the historical facts that are there to refer Kanye don't mock our ancestors by exposing their weakness rather, he is telling the truth of what had happened for almost 400 years.

Go and read history of slave trade in West Africa and you will realize that the main organizers and slave chasers were Africans who captured their fellow Africans who could be sold for higher profits to Western traders. Before those western traders came to West Africa they have obtained slaves from other part of the world but in comparison Africa and African karma made them to seem the best. So in reality some of if not may African local leaders become musters and beneficiaries who facilitated the prolong of slave trade in their regions.

That is really. In many part of West Africa European slave traders were prohibited to go interior so they waited the local chiefs to bring them slaves.

Those local leaders had also tricks that could allow them to raid and sell their own citizens. This business made them rich and they were not ready to lose it even after it was abolished.

Synonymous to what he said is saying, the killing of about 6 mil. Jews sounds like a choice! Yes a choice! 6 million people?

You get the rapper wrong, slavery is no near to the Holocaust, these are two different things. Attacking someone personality does not make his point weak. The issue is slavery for 400 years sound like a choice, lets start from here.

Where does the choice come from? The 400 years? Start with this.

Africa slave root was not the beginning of slavery. Which other slave trade did end in a different way from that of Africa? Unless he thinks Slavery was only African menace. He is just poor thinker.

Cutting the discussion short; White Americans have been trying to vindicate themselves from the evils of slave trade by saying it was so not because of bad traders, rather because of bad Africans who were selling you. That alone cannot make you the best trader and demonize the victim. Again a similarity is the killing of Jews which were also assisted by fellow Jews! They actually used Jews supervise fellow Jews.
 
Its true slavery did not start with infamous transatlantic slave trade, but reading between the lines the contents of his supposition focuses on enslaved blacks of now the U. S. A. In deed time speak volumes its upon you to figure out whether or not it was a choice.
 
In this world, good or bad is successful only when supported by the powerful. Be it for a day or 400 years over! Slave trade was not a nation enslaving the rest of the world! It was a system of the powerful by that time.
He is a musician. Let him sing good songs for us to dance and not claiming things not up to his level of reasoning.
