There is every likelihood that the incumbent political leadership in Tanzania and its blinded zealots including the Police, Army and National Security Agencies, Would not be ready and allow to see the aspirations of long time bonded Tanzanians finally realised.

This is why the once believed to be "democratic" president (THOUGH HE WAS REALLY NOT), Mr Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete, has been reported recently, to have being critising the role of International Crimes Court (ICC), during the
16th Annual Southern Africa
Development Community (SADC)
Lawyers Association General
Meeting that held together lawyers
from SADC-member states.

This is the first experience for Tanzania!.

He criticised the ICC as being one sided and unfair, to the extent of urging for its denial move.

Am not critical of his observation or rather opinion, but my question is "why now?,

What has befallen and startled the once belived and somewhat used-to-be supporter of the ICC and UN, to speak against it at this point in time?!

Its my considered opinion that, ICC should not wait for "reported incidents of events", but make sure it closely and strategically make follow-ups of what is transipiring towards the 2015 Tanzanian Elections.

I believe I heard madam Fatou Bensouda make the "watching closely" statement sometimes in the last two weeks..

As much as we could dislike the ICC's preferential judicial system, it certainly suits the needs of Africa because of our unique positioning of our leaders on many fronts...

It is only in Africa where you always have an incumbent president looking to change the constitution to allow term limit extension...

I don't see a war here...however regional chiefs should be on standby...no soul even one should be lost due to politics

There's been some changes in this year's politics/elections comparing to the past albeit, that shouldn't be a reason for a deadly outcome and suchlike. We might not be immune to chaos but, hopefully the election will go smoothly.

With the odd - statements that's been made by CCM and it's people against the opposition regarding the election, statements like "upinzani watakiona", ICC better keep an eye on Tanzania,...sooner than later!

ICC has to keep close to this election as far as the the situation is concerned. When people need political changes there have oftenly been political instabilities leading to human abuse and sometimes war

It should be abolished. It's just a tool to enshrine in law neocolonialism (in other words the dictates by the West - to the powerless Third World Countries) for the modern age. It is used to demonize the enemies of the most powerful Western countries, they themselves can commit war crimes with impunity (bombing of Libya or Iraqi invasion) and so can their allies. Abolish International Imperialist Court.!!!

This is the fact that very few can comprehend.

Sure icc should observe closely.even how election will be conducted they should observe.we need democratic country with no ukuruzinzaccm

You know, previously i was in a frontline arguing the abolishing of this court for i did believe like what you do.
But after the statements from CCM leaders, actions from the police i think this court is necessary now than ever.
Africans are not ready to stand on out two feet and prosper especially to the matters relating to elections.
ICC should even start taking into seriousness the statements from CCM.

we need ICC now more than never as far as Tanzania and africa is concern! we are the signatories of the court and hence we qualify for our criminals being charged to this court when things go wrong! huyu mzee lubuva i can bet he will be the first to go!!!

Its time for them to open up eyes for tanzania , particularly for nowday basing on political forums as far as ccm concern

Keep yo eyes open on this tired lame, hopeless and inhuman ccm government !

Well,,,,,,ICC sometimes important if we don't want to be civilised ourselves,,,,,

Until the ICC arrests Kagame and Abdel Al Sisi and other first world crimes against humanity and war criminals. Opposite to that, it will remain a double standard court that puts on trial some third countries who are non political gangsters compared to the aforementioned murderers of millions for the sake of the corporations and military industrial complexes.

Plus G.W Bush & Tony Blair!
