The President of the United Republic of Tanzania, H.E. Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, announced the news with deep sorrow today, March 25, 2026.
According to an official statement from Chief Secretary Ambassador Dr. Moses M. Kusiluka, the veteran politician died at approximately 7:00 AM at the Benjamin Mkapa Hospital in Dodoma. He was being treated for a heart attack at the time of his passing.
