WASHINGTON (AP) — The Secret Service says a bullet hit an exterior window of the White House and was stopped by ballistic glass.

An additional round of ammunition was also found on the exterior of the White House. The bullets were found Tuesday.

The discovery follows reports of gunfire near the White House on Friday. Witnesses heard shots and saw two speeding vehicles in the area. An AK-47 rifle was also recovered.

The Secret Service said it has not conclusively connected Friday's incident with the bullets found on the White House grounds.

U.S. Park Police have an arrest warrant out for Oscar Ortega-Hernandez, who is believed to be connected to the earlier incident. He is described as a 21-year-old Hispanic man, 5 feet 11 inches tall, 160 pounds, with a medium build, brown eyes and black hair.

The Secret Service is investigating how a bullet hit an exterior window of the White House. A round was stopped by ballistic glass behind the building's historic exterior glass.
The Secret Service also tells News4 that one additional round was also found on the exterior of the White House. Both rounds were discovered Tuesday morning.
The investigation started after an incident on November 11, when gunshots were heard near the White House. The Secret Service has not yet conclusively connected Friday's incident with the bullets found on White House grounds. On Wednesday morning, ballistic testing had not yet been completed.
The Secret Service, Park Police, D.C. police and Arlington police all responded to the reported shooting at 9:30 p.m. on Friday night. Investigators found an assault rifle in a car abandoned near the Theodore Roosevelt Bridge. It was not an AK-47, as suggested in previous reports, and the owner of the gun is unknown at this time.
Evidence from the car linked it to 21-year-old Oscar Ortega-Hernandez.

Park Police told News4's Elaine Reyes they believe Ortega came to the D.C. area several weeks ago. He has had legal issues in Texas, Utah and Idaho involving drugs, alcohol and assault.
Ortega was stopped by police in Arlington for a field inquiry that Friday, but was released. Jackie Bensen reported police questioned and photographed the man, but did not have enough evidence to keep him in custody.
A warrant for Ortega's arrest was issued Friday night. Law enforcement has searched for Ortega in the Occupy DC camp at McPherson Square and throughout the region.
Ortega is described as a Hispanic man with brown eyes, black hair and medium build, standing 5-foot-11 and weighing about 160 pounds. He has several dots tattooed on his right hand, "Israel" tattooed on the left side of his neck and several tattoos on his chest and back, including his surname "Ortega," hands clasped in prayer and rosary beads.
Police believe that Ortega is still in the area.

United States Park Police
The U.S. Park Police are seeking help in locating Oscar Ramiro Ortega, above, in connection with a shooting incident near the White House.

U.S. Park Police were looking for a man believed to be linked to reports of shots fired near the White House on Friday, but the Secret Service had not conclusively connected the incident with the bullets found on White House grounds, NBC said.
One bullet hit a window but it was stopped by ballistic glass behind the exterior glass. Authorities found another round on the outside of the White House. The bullets were discovered Tuesday.
Police said they were searching for Oscar Ramiro Ortega, 21. He is believed to be in the D.C. area and has ties to Idaho. He will be charged with "carrying a dangerous weapon," police said.
Witnesses reported shots fired at Constitution Avenue and 16th Street in northwest Washington at about 9:30 p.m. ET Friday. The Secret Service, U.S. Park Police, D.C. Police, and Arlington Police all responded. Authorities found a car matching the description of the one involved abandoned near the Theodore Roosevelt Bridge.
Story: Police probe gunfire reported near White HouseInvestigators found evidence including a rifle. Early witness reports suggested that the weapon was an AK-47 but U.S. Park Police spokesman Sgt. David Schlosser said a semi-automatic gun was involved.
"Specifically what he was aiming at, or not aiming at, is something that would be better addressed by interviewing him," Schlosser said according to The Washington Post. "Otherwise, it's just speculation."
Ortega has a criminal record including arrests for domestic violence, drug offenses, assault on a police officer and underage alcohol possession, the Post reported.
Law enforcement has searched for Ortega in the Occupy DC camp at McPherson Square, NBC Washington reported.
Investigators say Ortega has several distinctive tattoos, including several dots on his right hand. He also has the word "Israel" tattooed on the left side of his neck. U.S. Park Police say he also has several other tattoos on his chest and back including the name "Ortega," hands clasped in prayer and rosary beads.
