The Unclaimed Financial Assets Authority (UFAA) has invited NGOs, foundations, CBOs, and registered self-help groups to apply for funding under its Wezesha Mjane CSR programme, which supports widows and widow-led households.
The initiative aims to promote long-term economic empowerment through income-generating projects, access to education, and social support. For the 2026 cycle, each successful project will receive about Ksh 2.75 million, with Ksh 2.25 million for implementation and Ksh 500,000 reserved for scholarships for children from needy widow-led families.
Applicants must be legally registered, in operation for at least 3 years, and submit audited financial statements, governance documents, and anti-corruption compliance declarations. Projects will undergo mandatory, technical, and financial evaluations, with strict caps on administrative (25%) and training (20%) costs.
Applications can be emailed to them on their website or delivered to UFAA offices in Westlands by March 6, 2026, at 10:30 a.m.
