Passport processing services at the Directorate of Citizenship and Immigration Control (DCIC) offices in Kyambogo and Jinja have been temporarily disrupted following a fibre network cut.

According to immigration officials, the outage has affected internet connectivity required to support passport application and processing services at the two centres. As a result, applicants may experience delays in accessing services until the technical issue is resolved.

The Directorate has advised members of the public planning to visit the affected offices to first confirm the status of services before travelling. This is intended to help applicants avoid unnecessary transport costs and inconvenience.

Technical teams are reportedly working to restore the network connection and resume normal operations as soon as possible. Applicants are encouraged to monitor official communication channels for updates regarding the restoration of services.
