A traffic accident on Valley Road in Nairobi on Monday morning resulted in one fatality and eight injuries.
The driver of a City Shuttle bus lost control of the vehicle and crashed into other vehicles on the busy route, resulting in a multiple-vehicle collision. When the tragedy happened, the bus on the Kawangware route was on its way to Nairobi's central business district.
According to reports, the driver who later fled the scene, alerted passengers to a brake malfunction prior to the collision.
The tragedy claimed the life of a boda boda rider and seriously injured his passenger.
While the injured were being transported to the hospital, police came on the scene to perform rescue operations.
