With half a dozen degrees in law under his belt, Professor George Luchiri Wajackoyah, a Kenyan aboard, has decided to jump in the fray with many other potential candidates for the position of President of Kenya in the forthcoming elections in early 2012
Professor who also suffered under a former president and had to relocate to the United States through the support of the American Embassy in Nairobi, my experience resonates well with Prof. Wajackoyahs experience. I recommend him to Kenyans in Diaspora as a person who is untainted by the political, legal and administrative evils that bedevil the various departments of the Kenyan government.
He has not only gone through the streets but was able to become a police officer and eventually an inspector of Dr. Oukos death. His refusal to doctor the correct report on Dr. Ouko led to his suffering under the president of the time. This defiance of authority culminated in his subjection to torture, which he freely accepted as a morally responsible person and not as an inanimate cog in a machine.
As president and as a force from outside, he will be in a position to bring about cultural change through his ministerial and administrative appointments that, we hope, will be occupied by a fraction of those in Diaspora. He, as an external force for change in Kenya, will need the support of Diaspora government appointments at all levels to ensure the perpetuation of his reform programs. Kenya needs a person who can ensure infusion of new, progressive values divorced from the old ways of doing things. I believe that Prof. Wajackoyah is the person Kenya is looking for. Let us wholeheartedly support him to be an untainted President of the Republic of Kenya in 2013. http://jamhurimagazine.com/index.ph...t-kid-“chokora”-to-be-president-of-kenya.html
