Dominique Strauss-Kahn
Most people would agree that skirt-chasing aside, the suggestion that Dominique Strauss-Kahn raped or even attempted to rape a hotel maid, as claimed by New York's 'finest', is preposterous on its face.
The ease at which the former International Monetary Fund managing director could have hired any number of women, or men for that matter, to attend to his sexual needs must surely raise the question, is Strauss-Kahn being set up?
The so-called 'victim' lawyered-up immediately after making her allegations, choosing Jeffrey Shapiro, a lawyer known for personal injury claims, leading me to believe that her desire is not so much "justice" as it is "financial gain".
Now police have secretly leaked to the media that "DNA matching Dominique Strauss-Kahn" was found on the maid's clothing and through media reports we have learned that the DNA was found on the woman's collar.
From a distance it's obvious to me that Strauss-Kahn was fit up for this alleged crime in order to remove him from his powerful position with the IMF (already accomplished) and to prevent him from being able to challenge French President Nicholas Sarkozy in next years' election (very likely).
But the DNA claims leaked by the secret police might be Strauss-Kahn's saving grace.
According to an article by Andrew Pollack, scientists "in Israel have demonstrated that it is possible to fabricate DNA evidence, undermining the credibility of what has been considered the gold standard of proof in criminal cases."
In a 2009, Pollack wrote: "The scientists fabricated blood and saliva samples containing DNA from a person other than the donor of the blood and saliva. "They also showed that if they had access to a DNA profile in a database, they could construct a sample of DNA to match that profile without obtaining any tissue from that person."
I SAY: I just want to make a point to some on this Forum that they should not jump into conclusions on the cases that involve high profile personalities. There is so much at work in international politics. Personally I think this guy is a victim of intelligence agencies, including MOSAD, which would like to keep him out of the French Presidential race. Sarkozy, a former MOSAD operative and a staunch Israeli supporter, cannot win the next election if juxtaposed with any strong candidate..... you finish the thread.......
