Foreign currencies for cash transactions in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) where the US dollar has largely replaced the local currency for many years will be banned by April 2027, the Central Bank of Congo (BCC) announced. Do you think this is the right move for DRC? Tell us in the comments

First of all we don't know how they came to allow the use of the US dollar instead of their local currency and if that reason no longer exists.

Yes they can ban the use of the US dollar locally but they can't avoid using it in foreign transactions.
