Clalon Technologies Co. LTD (CTCL) is an ICT company located in Dar es Salaam. We seek for candidates to occupy two vacant positions namely; 1.Accountant and Office Administrator. 2. Office Assistant. Both positions are based in Dar es Salaam (Head office).
Typical work duties
1. Accountant/Office Administrator
Basic responsibilities includes but not limited to
word processing, audio and copy typing, letter writing, dealing with telephone and email enquiries,
creating and maintaining filing systems, keeping diaries, arranging meetings/appointments and organizing travel for staff.
Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
Compute taxes owed and prepare tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting and other tax requirements.
Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations, to project future revenues and expenses or to provide advice.
Establish tables of accounts, and assign entries to proper accounts.(rpt )
Develop, maintain, and analyze budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs.
Develop, implement, modify, and document record keeping and accounting systems, making use of current computer technology.
Survey operations to ascertain accounting needs and to recommend, develop, and maintain solutions to business and financial problems.
Advise management about issues such as resource utilization, tax strategies, and the assumptions underlying budget forecasts.
Provide internal and external auditing services for businesses and individuals.
organizing and storing paperwork, documents and computer-based information;
Photocopying and printing various documents, sometimes on behalf of other colleagues.
Appraise, evaluate, and inventory real property and equipment, recording information such as the property's description, value, and location.
Devising and maintaining office systems;
Managing and maintaining budgets;
Ordering and maintaining stationery and equipment supplies;
Sorting and distributing incoming post and organizing and sending outgoing post;
Liaising with colleagues and external contacts to book travel and accommodation;
Maintain and examine the records of government agencies.
Serve as bankruptcy trustees and business valuators.
Professional Qualifications
Bachelors degree in accounting and or finance
A good understanding of the accounting processes
Working knowledge with accounting packages
Fluent and conversant with English language
Proper understanding of the office communication channels
Knowledge and Experience with accounting packages will be an added advantage
One year experience
Female candidates with one year experience are highly encouraged to apply
Age below 26 years
2. Office Assistant
Basic responsibilities includes but not limited to word processing, audio and copy, typing, letter writing, dealing with telephone and email enquiries, creating and maintaining filing systems, keeping diaries, arranging meetings/appointments and organizing travel for staff. Other duties extend to the following:
Cleans and dusts offices, windows and desks;
Cleans office surroundings;
Assists in organizing for pre-meeting arrangements;
Distributes mail internally to respective staff;
Duplicates documents, such as circulars and other publications;
Prepares tea and cleans crockery;
Circulates files and documents internally to respective staff;
Prepares and serves refreshments during in house meetings and workshops;
Develops individual objectives/targets and performance standards as part of the individual performance agreement in consultation with the immediate superior;
Performs any other duties may be assigned by the immediate Supervisor.
Professional Qualifications
Holders of Form IV or form VI secondary certificate
Good passes in English and Kiswahili
Fair pass in mathematics will be an added advantage
Equivalent qualification.
Age limit 20yrs.
