My meeting today with so many students leaves me even more optimistic and hopeful about our future.
In the new Zimbabwe, in which dialogue is key, the youth will always be part of the decision making process. Our decision to establish six new innovation hubs was a direct result of dialogue with the youth and the observation that student innovations are not being maximised or funded. In light of this, I once again pledged today that the youth will make up at least a quarter of my next cabinet after elections.
The nation is moving in the right direction. Together, we must exploit this momentum and accelerate to the next level. Therefore, we will increase investment in education significantly, and ensure we create the right opportunities for the talented and determined young Zimbabweans.
