Leaders of the East African Community (EAC) have called for an immediate ceasefire and a peaceful resolution to the ongoing conflict in eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo during the 25th Ordinary Summit of the EAC Heads of State being held in Arusha, Tanzania.
During the high-level meeting, heads of state have expressed concern over the continued insecurity in the eastern part of the DRC and urged all parties involved in the conflict to pursue dialogue and peaceful solutions. The leaders have emphasized the importance of regional cooperation in addressing security challenges and restoring stability in the region.
