EA infrastructure race: Trio opening up big lead

EA infrastructure race: Trio opening up big lead

unajaribu kumwalika ndugu yako balozi mwakilishi wa al shabaab tz. hautafaulu mmejaribu kila mbinu, lakini kenya bado tuko kila sekta tz katika makamuzi. taja sekta yoyote hatuko tz. na nitakutajia sekta zote kwani hamna tz investments hapa kenya. zero FDI outflow to EAC. kenya tupo kifua mbele kuwekeza tz na wale wazungu mnaowaabudu.

By Mid-last year, Uganda's FDI range was placed between $0.5billion and $2billion boosted by Tullow Oil (United Kingdom) announcement of its plan to invest $2.0 billion to estab-lish an oil refinery in Uganda.
With Uganda's oil deposits expect-ed to be in place for more than two decades, it can expect heavy invest-ments from UK's Tullow Oil Com-pany, China's CNOOC and France's Total Company.
Oil dollars:
As for Tanzania, its $1.1billion FDI count in 2011 was mainly boosted by a $0.8 billion investment in fossil fuel and electric power project which ac-counted for more than 20 % of its to-tal value of green field projects .
The list of Tanzania's top FDI sources would also be interesting for Rwanda as it features UK (23%), India (15%), Kenya (15), and Neth-erlands 10%, China 10%, USA 10%, South Africa 7%, Canada 5%, Germa-ny 3%, and Oman 2%.

Hichi kihabari chako from a blog you probably wrote was already debunked. HOW much money did Kenya Invest in TZ to get the (15) share?

Maana kila ukiletewa UNCTAD report kijana unaporomosha matusi.

if anyone reverse googling this exact sentence "The list of Tanzania's top FDI sources would also be interesting for Rwanda as it features UK (23%), India (15%), Kenya (15), and Neth-erlands 10%, China 10%, USA 10%, South Africa 7%, Canada 5%, Germa-ny 3%, and Oman 2%."

All you will see is a Kenyan Blog, a rwandan blog and this JF misinformation.Do we have an alternate reality where Kenya is the top investing country in TZ?because so far UNCTAD Data shows Kenya is not a top investment destination anywhere.

cornered desperate lazy bum. just explain with your goggle plowing how much tz put in any of the EAC countries. kazi kutoa pofu abt kenya. uuza kilicho chako. its no secret tz econ ni uwanja wa paka na panya aliyetayari kwani wenyeji hamna lolote. they cant venture nje ya tz.

A poor country tracking FDI outflows is like Saudi Arabia Tracking Oil imports. We are smarter than that, we don't do shit just for the sake of it. That crown is happily endowed to Kenya, EA crazies.

ukigawa matusi, utapakuliwa sawa sawa small fellow.

Mie sio mpuuzi kama wewe kuanza kutukana hovyo.

I warned you,DO NOT lie, you will come to regret it, its fairly obvious you now wish your lies never escaped your fingertips, since even your creativity with badmouthing everyone on these boards can not seem to get you of the hooks.

Hawa watu on the surface they portray fake sophistication that is usually built on piles of lies and lies, when you start to tae them down layer after layer you end up with this.matusi kila kona.

I have long realized they are just empty vessels, i hardly reply to their empty rhetoric, unless where it is clear that a LIE is being pushed around.

I have long hear Kenyans claimin they are top investors in TZ, but i never got to understand how i never met any of their investments in TZ.The UNCTAD report which tracks data as far as early 1990s clearly put the matter to rest.,Kenya has never been a Top Investor to TZ,it has all been lies.i am pretty sure they were mistaking selling of some of their products in TZ to investing.

Kama inatosha inamaana nyie mna invest $1,000 kila sekta au?i am trying to get around how you manage to invest in all sectors in TZ with $6M of Total FDI outflow.

By Alvar Mwakyusa and Gladness GeofreyTumadarco - TANZANIA registered 869 investment projects worth US$11.4 billion (about 18.24tri/-) last year, ranking number two in the East African region in attracting foreign direct investments (FDIs) amounting to US 1.7 billion dollars during the year.
The UN Conference on Trade Development (UNCTAD) World Investment Report 2013, to be launched globally today, attributes the rise in FDIs to gas discoveries in Tanzania. Uganda leads in attracting FDIs in the region while Kenya is third. Other East African countries are Burundi and Rwanda.

"Britain is still the leading investing country in Tanzania with projects worth US 5.1 billion dollars and thus accounting for 35 per cent of all investments," the Tanzania Investment Centre (TIC)'s Public Relations Manager, Pendo Gondwe told a news conference ahead of Wednesday's launching of the report.

China is on position number two with projects worth US 2.1 billion dollars followed by India which is placed third at US 1.16 billion projects, according to the TIC publicist. Neighbouring Kenya is ranked fourth at US 1.5 billion dollars followed by the US which had 218 projects with a combined value of US 998 million dollars.

Kenya has opened up its lead as the biggest East African investor in Rwanda with its expanding ventures in education, retail and services.

Its investment, estimated at $100 million in 2011, is spread across all sectors of the economy and business executives believe it has crossed the $150 million mark. Recently, a delegation of 75 representatives from Kenyan businesses was in Rwanda to explore investment opportunities in the country.

"Rwanda is business friendly. It has a stable economy and the economic outlook is positive," Kenya's ambassador to Rwanda, John Mwangemi, told The EastAfr

The Kenya Airport Authority released a series of pictures, showcasing their brand new Terminal 1A, which is adding, when fully operational, a further capacity to handle over 2.5 million passengers a year through East Africa’s largest airport. Opened in 1978 by Kenya’s founding President Jomo Kenyatta did the new airport at the time take over from Embakasi Airport, which was then turned into the headquarters of national airline Kenya Airways.
Initially planned to cater for up to 2.5 million passengers, this number was exceeded nearly threefold last year. The opening of the new terminal building will not only de-congest the airport but also allow for the gradual refurbishment and upgrade of former international units 1 and 2 (recently renamed as Terminal 1B and 1C), before then commencing work on the domestic terminal, formerly named Unit 3 and now known as Terminal 1D.
Also due to be completely reconstructed is the fire damaged arrivals section of the airport, though work for that has not yet commenced at this time. Under construction is an additional temporary terminal building, with a projected lifespan of between 10 – 15 years, which will come on line later this year to add a further capacity boost of about 2.5 million passengers.

So if "The Kenya Airport Authority released a series of pictures, showcasing their brand new Terminal 1A,"why did they see it fit to include a long range picture of Julius Nyerere airport? is the Kenya Airport Authority so childish or is it you who added it? We need to know which nut to crack.

Its really sad that your source of economic data is a newspaper that you won't provide an active link rather than an echo chamber of blogs, most likely written by dimwits who have no idea what data verification means, its not the first time Kenyans feed these false information in order to prop up their poor country.

If you didn't know in TZ, most up and coming Journalists were the school failures.,and usually their source of news is JF.I didn't make any claims regarding TZ FDI outflows as its clear to anyone who has ever attended school in TZ that there are restrictions on type direct investments fo TZ nationals. Go to BOT to get such clarifications.I am not that stupid to make baseless claims and expect thin air to cover it.

I provided a link with Raw data from UNCTAD, it seems Mathematics is a problem to you, hence all those columns of data , simply delude you.am sorry for this, i provided my data from the horses mouth, not some journalist who summarized the findings

so, you still have to have a PR officer digest a report that is freely available online?how low is your thinking capacity?,JF is not a place for recycling news, we make news here.

If you were to be asked to verify the information provided above, is this how you will do it?provide a link from random blogs that YOU probably wrote?whoever employs you must be getting the worst bargain ever, if the employee wont even accept they made a mistake and constantly brings false information to backup their claims.

because you had to somehow come up with a source to support your lies, so this is what you managed?;TANZANIA: Dar es Salaam Registers Sh18 Trillion Investments « Vig World
a blog written by blogger?

why cant you answer my simple questions? If Kenya invests $1.5B in TZ, how come its Total FDI outflows stocks are just $279M?

How can a country invest $1.5B in TZ inflows yet it only has $6M in FDI outflows?what kind of Economics are these Street-conomics? or Kikuyunomics?

Can you somehow mine out the $1.5B from UNCTAD reports since Kenyan Independence?if you sum up $1.5B in FDI outflows i will concede my point.

You lie way too much, until you lose focus of your lies, just a paragraph above you claimed Kenya is positioned third with $1.5B in investments in Tanzania,Apparently now your investments in the whole of EA are between $100M-$150M. do you know that 1B=1000M?did you get out of kindergatten?

I feel sad for Rwandese if they think a Nation with $6M FDI Outflows, will invest $100M FDI inflows in Rwandao r EA for that matter.

An even sadder part of both your figures is they are all lies, you did not invest no $100M anywhere in EA since your FDI outflows were a mere $9M, unless utuambie mliinvest 100M Kshs.

to refresh your short memory below are the actual data.
Kenyan FDI outflow in 2011 was just $9M, so even if you invested all you had in Rwanda, you wouldnt have invested $100M, poor rwandese getting sweettalked by kikuyus who had nothing but empty words as usual.

2007-$36M
2008-$44M
2009-$46M
2010-$2M
2011-$9

2012-$16
2013-$6

Tanzania received

2007-$582M
2008-$1.383B
2009-$953M
2010-$1.813B
2011-$1.229B
2012-$1.706B
2013-$1.8702B

Tanzania averaged $1.3626B a year in inflows for the past 7 years since 2007.

if we assumed 50% of Kenya's entire miniscule FDI went to Tanzania, the Kenyan "Giant" FDI Inflow to Tanzania would be.

2007-3%
2008-1.6%
2009-2.4%
2010-0.06%
2011-0.4%
2012-0.5%
2013-0.13%

wheere did you get Kenyan 15%? thin air?

As for Tanzania, its $1.1billion FDI count in 2011 was mainly boosted by a $0.8 billion investment in fossil fuel and electric power project which ac-counted for more than 20 % of its to-tal value of green field projects .
The list of Tanzania’s top FDI sources would also be interesting for Rwanda as it features UK (23%), India (15%), Kenya (15), and Neth-erlands 10%, China 10%, USA 10%, South Africa 7%, Canada 5%, Germa-ny 3%, and Oman 2%.

[h=1]Foreign direct investment, net (BoP, current US$) - Country Ranking[/h] Definition: Foreign direct investment are the net inflows of investment to acquire a lasting management interest (10 percent or more of voting stock) in an enterprise operating in an economy other than that of the investor. It is the sum of equity capital, reinvestment of earnings, other long-term capital, and short-term capital as shown in the balance of payments. This series shows total net, that is, net FDI in the reporting economy from foreign sources less net FDI by the reporting economy to the rest of the world. Data are in current U.S. dollars.

No need to, i' am the one who started this thread so it means i read it first. The question still stands, Isn't an airport part of infrastructure? True or false?

There is a need... your (I guess you r Obbo) article talks about a subset while a heading is a set... why don't you be specific to the subset so as to be precise. You know what... the heading gives a lot of expections to the readers and digesters.... unfortunately the articles has no pre stated a cut off point (scope). I think referees have to be keen on that..

Sijui wanaogopa nini!

Atakuletea sources za nationalmedia.co.ke

I hate jumping into frays but you need to correct this bit. You have posted it so many times I cringe each time I see it. It is nation.co.ke or nationmedia.co.ke! Roho safi lakini.
